Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase Comment on Manu

During an interview with Monday Night Mayhem radio, Cody Rhodes gives his opionion on why Manu didn't work out with The Legacy:

Cody described how many people initially thought Manu would fit the bill, but after all was said and done, he did not: "Manu is a great example. He had a pedigree and a wrestling background, but he didn't have what it takes on any level to be in The Legacy." He added that the main difference between himself and Ted vs. Manu was that they all acknowledged that their father did assist them to a degree with their WWE career, but that they are "doing their own stuff" since their fathers "opened their door" for them. He sees D.H. as having "potential."...More?

An Award Randy, Cody and Manu Could Do Without

This past Friday, E! aired the The Soup's 2009 Awards Show. A heavy-breathing, face-to-face backstage segment from a November episode of Raw with Randy Orton, Manu, and Cody Rhodes was featured as a nominee for the following category: "Best Display of Homoeroticism By A Guy Who Is Totally Not Gay... Seriously... Come On You Guys... I Mean It." The segment featured an intense staredown between Rhodes, Manu (breathing heavily), and Orton.

Gee, I wonder why Randy didn't want him in "The Legacy" anymore...

Rumor Mill - Why Manu was kicked out of The Legacy

Several pushed for Manu to be kicked out of The Legacy, most notably, Randy Orton. The feeling is that he isn't in the same league or had the same amount of potential as others in the group, and didn't really fit in as a result. Many believe the group would be better off with Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted DiBiase and possibly DH Smith.

Raw Results: Slam, Bam, Thank You Ma'am!

The Legend Killer was incensed that he was left out of the running for Superstar of the Year, and as a way of redeeming himself, challenged Triple H and Orton’s Armageddon opponent, Batista, to a Handicap Match against the team of himself, Manu & Cody Rhodes, stating that “The Legacy is born.”

Though the contest was a 3-on-2 Handicap Match, the outcome was nowhere near certain, as Triple H & Batista are not only among the current roster’s most dominant athletes, but are also two of the most powerful Superstars in WWE history. In spite of their wealth of strength and ability, however, they were unable to compete against the odds stacked against them, with Randy Orton hitting Batista with a vicious RKO to pick up the win in his team’s first match together. Full Results.
