Steel City SmackDown

In less than two weeks, WWE Champion Triple H defends his title in an unprecedented five-man WWE Championship Scramble Match at Unforgiven. But first, The King of Kings will take on one of his Scramble opponents – United States Champion Shelton Benjamin – on SmackDown in a non-title Champion vs. Champion bout. Lawsuit against WWE set to fail

The threesome – Scott ‘Raven’ Levy, Chris ‘Kanyon’ Klucsarits and Mike Sanders – say the WWE classified them as independent contractors, but treated them as full employees.

However Jerry McDevitt – who has been the WWE’s legal supremo for more than 20 years – says the world’s leading wrestling federation has no case to answer.

Speaking exclusively to SunSport, he said: “I think the key point to be made here is that every one of these people signed contracts acknowledging they were independent contractors.

Kevin Nash interview

...Nash said that the Chris Jericho/Shawn Michaels segment at SummerSlam was great. Nash said that the Jericho/Michaels angle is something that he'll pay to see and that it is a money angle...More?

Rumor Mill - Ron Killings

WWE will probably have to edit R-Truth's debut on SmackDown this week because of "TNA" and "We Want Angle" chants during the match which really didn't get much other reaction from the crowd. Truth ended up selling a lot of Kenny Dykstra's moves and Vince McMahon got pissed off because he wanted Killings to look like a top star and sell nothing for Dykstra. Mis-communication backstage had the agents tell Killings to work a standard babyface match, sell big and then do a comeback for the win.

Don't Do It Mick

By Mark Madden of wrestlezone.com:

Word on the street (and on the ‘net) is that Mrs. Foley’s baby boy is headed from the big time to the small time, from WWE to TNA. My advice: Don’t do it, Mick.

Name one person who came to TNA from WWE and means more now. Besides Gail Kim, that is, who immediately used fame gained in TNA to leverage a return to WWE.

WWE is the big show, and everybody knows it. Wrestlers like Team 3-D have said so, in print, while working for TNA. The only people in TNA who don’t want to go to WWE are those who can’t...More?
