Head trauma a rising concern: Young athletes often try to hide the injury

Concussions can be career-threatening, with the lasting effects far more extreme than a torn ACL or broken bone.

But all too often young athletes who suffer brain trauma don't treat it with the same amount of caution or care they would a sprained ankle.

Steve Stepp, a certified athletics trainer at Wesleyan, says at least once a year a player will suffer a blow to the head but not report it to him or the coaching staff...More?
