Triple H defeated Shawn Michaels for the WWF(E) European Title. HBK intentionally lost the title after he was ordered to defend it against Hunter by Commissioner Sgt. Slaughter

Triple H defeated Vince McMahon in a No DQ, Falls Count Anywhere match when Triple H pinned him after hitting him with a sledgehammer. Due to the stipulations of the match, if Triple H won, he received a World Title match, and if Vince won, then the marriage between Triple H and Stephanie McMahon would be annulled. However, after the match, Stephanie turned on her father and willingly joined with Triple H thus beginning the McMahon-Helmsley Era.
