Update on TNA vs. Scott Steiner
It appears the court hearing scheduled for this morning between Scott Steiner and TNA was called off after Steiner's attorneys filed evidence on 11/26 that shot down TNA's legal argument in attempting to get the Steiner lawsuit dismissed.
TNA had argued that Steiner's breach of contract suit should be dismissed, noting that per the letter of their contract, Steiner needed to inform them of any potential breaches and give the company 30 days to attempt to repair the breach before attempting legal actions. So, since they had never been given the chance to repair the breach, Steiner could not try and take them to court.
On 11/26, Steiner's attorneys filed a notice with the court noting that the contractual terms ran from January 2011 through April 2011, so the contract would "not apply to the issues" being brought forth by Steiner.
With the hearing being canceled at the last minute, it would appear that material was a factor.
