Lee Terry, who already spoke out on McMahon on Tuesday, Feb. 29, continued in the same mindset saying that McMahon’s excuse was “hollow” and that wrestling’s issue with steroids might be bigger as the “entertainment factor is that they are physically huge freaks…” A WWE spokesman, Gary Davis, replied to the statement, saying that Terry’s comment on wrestlers was a stereotype, and that WWE tests their stars throughout the year for their own well-being, as there is little need for an edge in fixed competition.
