Another WWE Veteran Released From His Performer's Contract
The Brooklyn Brawler, Damien Sandow, King Barrett, Hornswoggle, El Torito, Alex Riley, Zeb Colter, Santino Marella and Cameron were not the only 9 talents released from WWE last week as Christian was also released from his contract.
Christian's release did not have to do with his agreement to do The Edge and Christian Show and is more of a technicality of no longer having an active performer's contract, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Christian hasn't wrestled since his last concussion in March 2014 and WWE decided to stop using him due to his history of concussions. He remained under a performer's contract until now but he is still affiliated with the company.

Freddie Prinze On Working WWE Creative With Vince McMahon, Booking Jeff Hardy, Nixed Plans, More
A recent episode of Chris Jericho's "Talk Is Jericho" podcast features actor and former WWE creative writer Freddie Prinze Jr., who was signed by WWE in 2007. The two sides parted ways in February of 2009. You can hear the full interview at this link.
Freddie, who said working for WWE was a dream job, was responsible for the reinvention of "The" Brian Kendrick and then Jeff Hardy during his WWE Title run. Jericho asked how Freddie was able to get Hardy to trust him, as Jeff is a notorious loner who tends to keep to himself. Freddie tried to be entirely open and honest with Jeff. He said they discussed taboo subjects including drugs and alcohol, death, and suicide. Freddie also wrote for The Undertaker and Kane, revealing that Vince McMahon was more involved with Kane's promos than any other WWE star. Prinze said, "If I wrote Kane was going to 'destroy someone,' he'd say, 'Kane wouldn't say that. Kane would obliterate someone.'" Freddie added that Vince is 127 years old but works like he's in his 70s.
The "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and "Scooby-Doo" actor was soon put with Alberto Del Rio and told that Mexicans needed to hate him. Freddie said Del Rio was very nervous but wanted to impress Vince, so he was up for whatever worked. Freddie also said he wrote a farewell storyline for Edge, that ended up nixed due to his injury and sudden retirement. The original plan was to have Christian make a big heel turn and force Edge to retire.
Prinze also discussed how he got into WWE, when John Cena approved of him being there, why he liked working with The Miz and lots more in the full interview.

Update on Christian's WWE Status
The official WWE website has moved Christian’s superstar profile to the Alumni Section of the website which pretty much confirms he is done as an active in-ring competitor.
His last match was back in March of 2014, and he has been out of action following several injuries, including suffering a concussion. They have updated his bio with the following…
“…Christian was out of action for nearly a year with a shoulder injury. He returned in June 2013, once again poised to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Although he never regain the title, he solidified his legacy and left active competition still at the top of his game.”

Backstage Update On Christian's WWE Status And Retirement
It was mentioned on tonight's WWE RAW by Jerry Lawler that Christian is retired. This was not an error by Lawler. Due to Christian's string of injuries and concussions, he's now considered "retired" as an in-ring performer by the company. Christian has about a year left on his current WWE contract.

WWE's Infamous Love Triangles
It's the season - and day - of love. However, while you're eating chocolates or smelling the roses your "boo" may have gotten you for Valentine's Day, Eve may be wondering just what she gotten herself into at Raw SuperShow between Zack Ryder and John Cena. It's like "Twilight" between the ropes, and we're afraid of vampires. And Kane.
Eve, though, is not the first WWE Superstar or Diva to be entangled in a love triangle. Oh no, not even close.
Despite countless denials from both parties, Kurt Angle and Stephanie McMahon had been making eyes at each other for months, catching the ire of her husband, Triple H. Hey, here's a thought: if you're married to The Cerebral Assassin, why not make him more jealous by managing the guy you've been staring at and cause drama at every single turn? Check. Mate...More?
Others:
Edge, Big Show and Vickie Guerrero
Christian, Trish and Chris Jericho
Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth
