Former WWE Creative Writer Claims Shawn Michaels & Triple H Buried CM Punk & Other Big Name Talents, HBK Responds & More

Former WWE creative team member Court Bauer, during a recent edition of “Bauer and Pollack,” made the following claim with regards to Shawn Michaels and Triple H having a habit of burying top talents like CM Punk while the two worked together in WWE:

“One time, Triple H along with HBK buried CM Punk. I think it was his 2005 tryout,” Bauer said. “Maybe he didn’t know the name, and wasn’t familiar with who it was but they buried him. They annihilated his look and his work and I’m like, ‘you just sunk the guy in front of the Chairman!'”

HBK has been making the media rounds lately to promote his new book, and during an appearance on Sirius XM’s TapouT Radio, Michaels not only denies the claims made by Bauer, but adds he never even met Bauer even though the two were working in WWE at the same time:

“I had someone tell me, ‘Triple H, he buried CM Punk.’ One, I never even met the guy [Court Bauer], supposedly he worked for us. Dave Lagana will tell you, as Punk will, that I was one of his biggest fans. The reason [WWE] didn’t like him is because he had a bad attitude. I’ve never seen anybody’s tryouts, they usually have them at the beginning of RAW.”

In response to the claims made by HBK, Bauer took to Twitter, @courtbauer, and posted the following:

“HBK followed me on twitter until recently. Worked w/ him on Rob Conway stuff. Other writers (@AlexDGreenfield) saw the Punk stuff. It’s easier to play dumb than be honest in wrestling. Problem is others saw it. It is what it is.”

Alex Greenfield, mentioned in Bauer’s Tweet, is also a former WWE writer, and during MLW Radio episode #166, Greenfield had the following to say regarding Bauer’s claims:

“It was Shawn, Triple H and Arn [Anderson],” Greenfield recalled. “They just f-cked Punk up! I don’t know if they knew who CM Punk was, because I certainly didn’t…They cut his work apart, they really buried the guy.

“When Shawn and Hunter were together man, they buried a bunch of people who were just starting out. I remember they did the same thing to Bobby Lashley…Shawn and Hunter backstage at that event curtainside, they looked out there and just buried the guy [Lashley]. You know how everybody has the friend that brings out the worst in you? That’s what it felt like all the time to me, dude. They just turned into catty f-cking b—–s.”

Who Would Bobby Lashley Want To Face If He Return To WWE?

Former WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley was a guest on The Chad Dukes Wrestling Show where he discussed his thoughts on a return to pro wrestling and in particular, who his ideal opponent would be:
"That's a tough one ... I think on the WWE side - I think as crazy as this sounds - this isn't saying it because this person is on the top or anything like that but I think Triple H is someone that I would really like to work with."

"The reason why is because he has that attitude, that aggression, that I like. And I think with professional wrestling you ... have to actually look the part ... He looks like someone that if you crossed him in an alley you wouldn't want to ... pick a fight with him. I think that pro wrestling has fallen away from that a little bit ... and I think Triple H has a tough look."

Bobby Lashley: Days Numbered Within TNA?

In a somewhat shocking move, Bobby Lashley has been removed from TNA’s profile page. This may suggest that Lashley is no longer officially with TNA.

Bobby Lashley, as we know, is trying to be a two sport star. He had signed several months ago with the mixed martial arts organization “StrikeForce”. Lashley recently had a fight against Wes Sims, moving his record to 5-0.

In a recent interview with Hulk Hogan in Sports Illustrated, Hogan put down the notion that Lashley could be a two-sport star. He said that the two would have to have a talk about this simultaneous involvement. His comments lead me to believe that Hogan is not a fan of this situation...More?

Bobby Lashley: "This is TNA's First Opportunity to Show They're Really Going to Work With Me"

"The main deal is that TNA had always told me they were willing to work with anything that I had to do with fighting. This is their first opportunity to show they're really going to work with me. That's all I really can say about that."

"Originally when we signed the deal, they knew I was going to have a huge obligation in the fighting business. At the end of the day, that's my main source of income and what requires the most dedication."

"They told me they would be able to work with me and anything that I wanted to do, and they know that this fight's important and every other fight that I have with Strikeforce is important. I just want to see that they're willing to hold up their end of the bargain and support me as I fight and move forward."...More?

Lisa Marie Varon - "I feel like I am the next Brock Lesnar"

Lisa Marie Varon, who currently works for Total Nonstop Action wrestling as "Tara," and formerly for WWE as "Victoris" recently announced her intention to make her MMA debut in the near future. And while she has not set a date, the 38-year-old told FanHouse that she would love to fight before the end of the year.

"I feel more than ready now. I mean, if someone said tomorrow, You have to fight tomorrow, I feel I can fight tomorrow," she said.

"I know I have the stigma of being a pro wrestler coming into this industry, but I know I'm not going to go in there just to make a competitive match. I'm there to make a statement and to dominate the fight. I'm not going to be going in there half-ready; I'm going to make a statement. I know that I'm going to be representing Brock Lesnar, Bobby Lashley, but I feel like I am the next Brock Lesnar. He has ridiculous strength and so do I."...More?

Krystal Marshal Speaks Out on Racism in the WWE

In an interview with Diva-Dirt.com, former WWE Diva Krystal Marshall described the "morally degrading" storyline that made her quit WWE and what she feels were racist comments by a top member of WWE's creative team. Marshall said that her path to exiting WWE began with the Teddy Long wedding storyline. Stephanie McMahon assured her the storyline would be done in a tasteful way, but Michael Hayes told her it would be raunchy, which she was very against. Marshall said Hayes didn’t treat her boyfriend Bobby Lashley well and that Hayes actually said he doesn’t like Lashley “or anyone that looks like him.” She said she knew if she didn’t do the storyline she would lose her job, but she was not going to do something she was uncomfortable with. When asked about Bobby Lashley's departure from the company, she said Lashley literally walked away from millions of dollars because the problems in the company outweighed the money. She says Michael Hayes made blatant racist comments to Lashley and told Lashley outright that he didn't like him.

Response to ESPN Writer's Heavy, Uninformed Criticism of Bobby Lashley for Joining TNA

Jake Rossen, editor of Real Fighting magazine and contributor to Sherdog.com, made some pretty bold and abrasive statements on ESPN.com regarding Bobby Lashley's participation in TNA's Lockdown PPV.

He degraded Lashley for appearing on what he called an "embarrassment to the human race" and referred to pro wrestling as "some poorly performed theater for the hygiene-challenged." He then went on to describe wrestling as "a deranged spectacle full of drug-addled performers taxing their adrenal glands in a poorly scripted imitation of athletics."

Tell us how you really feel, Mr. Rossen. Or better yet, tell us what you really know...about pro wrestling, that is. I'd place a safe bet that your knowledge of pro wrestling would not come close to filling a thimble. Now, I'm not going to deride you for your lack of pro wrestling knowledge, but I will question your decision to publicly insult Bobby Lashley and millions of wrestling fans around the world by commenting on a subject you obviously know nothing about. Your comments were not only uncalled for, but very offensive to the performers, the fans, and everyone involved in wrestling...More?

Bobby Lasley Explains Why He Signed With TNA

“With the WWE, I was on the road nonstop; it was my entire life. With TNA, I’m only working four days a month. And with the extra income from wrestling, I can take care of my family and afford to fully dedicate myself to my MMA training. I’m no different than so many young fighters: I still need a day job, because MMA training is expensive – especially when you want to travel to different camps and learn from the top minds in the game. And TNA has been great to work with.”...More?

ESPN has published an article by Sherdog.com writer Jake Rossen in which he slams Bobby Lashley for his decision to sign with TNA Wrestling while still being an active MMA fighter. After calling "professional wrestling" slang for "embarrassment to the human race," Rossen said, "Lashley can obviously do as he pleases to earn a buck, but I don't think his hybrid career will do the sport of MMA in the States any favors."
