Serena Deeb is back with WWE as a Women's coach at the WWE Performance Center. Deeb, 31, had worked for WWE from 2009 through 2010. During that time, she was a member of The Straight Edge Society with CM Punk and Luke Gallows. She returned to the company last year in the Mae Young Classic where she defeated Vanessa Borne in the first round before losing to Piper Niven in the second. In an interview with WWE.com, she said that her goal it to be teaching her own class at the Performance Center. She also was asked about her goals specifically as a teacher as someone who's just starting out as a coach.
"To really step up into this leadership role, which is a new thing for me," Deeb said. "I'm just looking forward to the set of challenges and rewards that are coming with this responsibility and getting to improve myself personally and professionally. I'm focused on how I can be a better person and a better coach. [I want] to give my best self to them so I can be a reflection of them and receive their best selves back. I think it's so important for the individual, regardless of the role you're in, to always be mindful of where you're at and always take your self-inventory so you can garner the best side of them as well."

Serena Deeb Talks About Returning To The Ring
Serena Deeb joined the Women Of Wrestling Podcast at ringbellesonline.com to discuss her comeback after spending 18 months away from the ring due to a concussion:
“I've been going back and forth for so long. There were thoughts of coming back in the fall for the SHIMMER tapings then but I wasn't fully behind myself with that decision. Two weekends ago I went up and visited some really good friends who run the Pro Wrestling Syndicate show in New Jersey... I went up there, I practiced with them... it was just a direct in-your-face reminder that this is still my love and despite the distance that hasn't faded. It's still my passion.”...More?

Former WWE Diva Admits She Had A Drinking Problem
Former WWE Diva Serena Deeb has opened up about her drinking problem. She wrote the following on Twitter:
"Today I am incredibly proud, as it marks one full year I have gone without drinking alcohol. A year ago I looked myself in the mirror & reevaluated my priorities. I decided to make serious changes. I have always wanted to be a role model & help others around me because I believe that makes the world a better place. I hope this message can inspire & encourage whoever reads it. Oftentimes when people approach change, it can be overwhelming. One week is hard, one year is even harder and ‘forever’ almost sounds impossible. From my personal account, I think it’s helpful to take things one day at a time & to constantly remind yourself of the bigger picture. We all have changes that we want to implement. A new year approaching is the perfect opportunity. Don’t limit yourself & the potential that you have to live a better life. Change is never easy BUT with a challenge, you build a stronger character. Self confidence & a strong will are very empowering. Take small steps & don’t look back- “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
Serena was released from WWE in August 2010 because of drunk behavior in front of fans on the road. She established a lot of respect amongst many for be willing to shave her head in the Straight Edge Society gimmick with CM Punk.
