Former Hawkeye Big E humbled by visit to Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame
The George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend served as a homecoming of sorts for one-half of the longest reigning WWE tag team champions.
Big E, a former University of Iowa defensive lineman, participated in the weekend's autograph signing and attended the induction banquet in Waterloo, Iowa, a week ago.
"It's been really cool to be back and especially -- I feel a bit out of place in that there's so many legends who've done so much more than I have, and I'm here for some reason, so it's very humbling," the New Day member told SLAM! Wrestling prior to the banquet on July 23rd.
The former powerlifter said he feels like he "really became an adult" while in Iowa.
"Mike Doughty's one of the organizers. Honestly, he's the reason I got signed," Big E said. "I would never even be here, so I feel like he changed my life. So anything I can do to help him at all or to give back even in the slightest is a cool thing."...More?

Dudley Boyz Return to WWE
During last night’s episode of WWE RAW saw The Dudley Boyz returned to WWE television after ten years. The Dudleys returned as a huge surprise, and got a huge pop from the Brooklyn crowd as they took out WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day.
The Dudleys are back full-time with WWE and will be travelling with them on the road for live events, including their advertised Smackdown return this Thursday. It’s speculated, but still unconfirmed that the team has signed a multi-year contract with WWE.
According to reports, Bubba and Devon were hidden from everyone at RAW last night, and almost no one knew about the return until they were near the curtain to make their entrance. Several top WWE officials were some of the few to know beforehand, and then the production team knew as they cued up the video, music and pyro, as well as having merchandise already produced.

Big E Talks New Day Getting Over, Having 'Uphill Battle' After First Xavier Woods Promo
SLAM! Wrestling has an interview with Big E, who was promoting last night's RAW in Montreal. During the interview, Big E talked about the New Day gimmick starting to get over.
"It's cool because it feels very organic," Big E said. "I think a lot of times when you say, 'This is what a talent is and this is how we're going to push him in this direction and it doesn't matter what the crowd says or what they do,' sometimes you can make that work if you shove things down peoples' throats, but a lot of times there's resistance toward that."
Big E noted that it's been an uphill battle getting the group going since Xavier Woods first confronted himself and Kofi Kingston on RAW last July, which you can watch above at the 2:20 mark.
"If you remember the original promo with Woods in the red and white suit, that happens and then we disappear for a couple of months," Big E said. "I think there was some buzz with that, which we were all excited for, and then that kind of just disappears. And then when you see us again, we're in a different incarnation of what people thought we would be. For us, it was kind of an uphill battle to get things off the ground for the first several months, but I think more than anything, we believe in our talent.
"It's really cool to get to this point of things feeling organic, where we're not in a box that people are force fed, and that's something we're excited about. I think it's a cool thing to not necessarily have a strong label. But I do think we're going to start moving in a certain direction that'll make it pretty easy for people to figure where we're going."
Big E also discussed preferring WCW to WWE when he was growing up, his physique, joining WWE, power lifting and more. You can read the whole interview by clicking here.

Big E. Langston on WWE's Rising Stars, Dolph Ziggler, AJ Lee, Andre the Giant Battle Royal
Current WWE Intercontinental Champion Big E. Langston recently spoke to The Boston Herald.
WWE's crop of rising talents:
"We’re all pushing each other. It’s a great time for our business. There are a lot of guys waiting for a main spot on the roster – Cesaro, the Shield, the Wyatt Family, Fandango, Damien Sandow – the list goes on and on of talented guys who are hungry and ready to work hard every night. You’re always watching what they’re doing. When they have a great match, you want to top that."
Working with AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler:
"I’m very grateful for the opportunity with that role, but I knew I could be a lot more than just a bodyguard. Stepping out of that and having opportunities in a singles role was good for me. I felt there was a lot more for me to offer, and I still feel that way."
Being in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal this year:
"Raising that Andre the Giant trophy is a big deal. That’s my focus at WrestleMania. My dream is to win the WWE world heavyweight championship at WrestleMania. I’ve only been in the business four years and it’s been a good start, but there’s still a lot more I can show people."

Status of Summer Rae, Roman Reigns & Big E Langston
WWE officials are very high on Summer Rae. Word is that WWE has three talents they are looking at elevating greatly next year - Roman Reigns, Big E Langston and Summer.
Backstage News On Big Title Win
Putting a secondary title on Big E Langston has been planned for a while, they just weren’t sure whether it would be the Intercontinental Championship or United States Championship. The former was chosen with Curtis Axel not working out as expected and the fact the US title is seen as a good “accessory” for Dean Ambrose.
