Michelle McCool Comments on Stephanie McMahon

H.B.I.C.: “I think she is one of the most powerful women in wrestling, to this day, is Stephanie McMahon — and I don’t mean what y’all think I mean. On TV, she is just one of the most powerful characters. From playing ‘The Queen Bitch,’ to the ‘Billion Dollar Princess,’ to even coming out not too long ago to give it to Paul Heyman.”

Boss Lady: “She’s awesome in every possible way. From mic work to bumping — I remember her taking the DDT off the top ropes from Randy Orton, oh, my gosh! From her facials to everything… she is just great, and she’s great to work for. She’s a great boss: creative, always wants you to do your best, always there to offer advice — honest advice, which is sometimes rare to find. She shoots from the hip, which I just love. Why beat around the bush? She’s also very hands-on when she’s at the shows. Can’t say enough positive things about Steph.”

The Real Legacy: “Of course, she’s so powerful. And if you’re a true fan of the business, obviously you know the legacy is there. She can be intimidating, not intentionally by any means, but I was intimidated because of the amount of respect I had for her and for her family.”

Pulled Aside: “I do remember during one pre-tape, it was with a few of the girls, and I remember her saying: ‘Michelle, come into the bathroom real quick, I need to tell you something.’ I’m thinking: ‘Oh, no. She doesn’t wanna embarrass me about how horrible I am in front of other people — which is nice, but she’s still about to tell me gosh knows what. So we go in there and she’s like: ‘I think you need to shave your armpits.’ I raise them up, and I’m like: ‘No, I shave my armpits every day!’ So when I raise them up, I’ve got black fuzz from my sweatshirt, but she was calling me in there to tell me. Stuff like that, she’s just funny.”

The Future Unfolds: “She can give good direction and really help your character grow. I don’t know if there are many people that I enjoy watching on TV than her. You can hate her on TV but absolutely love her backstage. I think she’s and such a strong woman… and that’s the type of person that I look up to, the type of person that I admire. I think as long as she’s there behind-the-scenes, the business will continue to do nothing but grow. I love her as a person, and I am very, extremely, fortunate to call her a friend.”

Rumor Mill - The Undertaker’s Return and Triple H’s Storyline Injury

The Undertaker and his wife Michelle McCool were backstage at the October 24th RAW Supershow from Austin, TX. According to sources backstage, both Undertaker and McCool were talking to WWE officials about possible scenarios where they could both return to television.

Following Kevin Nash’s attack on Triple H from 2 weeks ago, WWE announced Triple H had sustained a “serious concussion” and a cracked vertebrae. The cracked vertebrae diagnoses was given because WWE has a new company policy where they will not be using the term “broken neck” for storyline injuries.

WWE said Triple H will be out past Survivor Series, so it’s possible his match with Kevin Nash will take place at TLC in December.

Michelle McCool Gone From WWE

Michelle McCool is gone from WWE after losing a Loser Leaves WWE Match to Layla last night at Extreme Rules. Khamrma, the wrestler formerly known as Awesome Kong, made her WWE television debut immediately following McCool’s defeat and laid out the multi-time champion with an Implant Buster. In an indication as to why she’s leaving WWE, McCool revealed to WWE.com that she’s endured a slew of injuries the past two months:

“My foot has been injured for two months now, broken toe, torn joint capsules, torn MCL. I took a good beating by Layla and Kharma, too. I know I’ll be feeling it tonight, tomorrow and probably the next day,” McCool said. “But I’ll wear it with pride.”

McCool was introduced to the WWE audience in 2004 as a competitor in the inaugural Diva Search. Although the former school teacher lost the competition, WWE signed her to a contract in November of that year. She had been wrestling ever since.
“I’ve been doing this for six years now. Love me or hate me, I hope the WWE Universe can respect that night in and night out, I’ve given it my all,” McCool tearfully said. “This is definitely emotional, and I’m sure it’ll be like that for awhile.”

While McCool hopes to see her fans again, it won’t be in the ring.

“Thank you for the love and the hate. Thank you for being you and for watching. Hopefully I’ll see you around – not in the ring – but maybe someday.” She echoed similar comments on Twitter, writing, “Thx for the love guys….I know there will always be rumors, but that was it – real talk! @mslayel ….nothing but luv 4 u! Luv u all…nite!”

Rumor Mill - Michelle McCool Leaving WWE

PWInsider.com is reorting that Michelle McCool is finishing up with WWE, as she will participate in a Loser Leaves Smackdown Match against former Lay-Cool partner Layla El. Based on conversations with several wrestlers and a key WWE insider, this move has a lot to do with the fact The Undertaker is not scheduled for TV anytime soon.

McCool's tenure on Smackdown has been somewhat controversial, as she has not appeared on house shows, and only works TV tapings and pay per views. This preferential treatment rubbed a lot of the full time wrestlers the wrong way, especially since so many "part-timers" were in featured roles for WrestleMania (Michael Cole, Jerry Lawler, Trish Stratus, Vickie Guerrero, Snooki). To make matters worse, the Cole vs Lawler match went very long at WrestleMania, taking up valuable time that others could have used to put more of a spotlight on their own match. Agent - Producer Dean Malenko was the one who laid out the Lawler vs Cole match, and that touched off a whole locker room discussion about the part timers who get so much air time, when the house shows are hurting and pay checks are down because of it.

McCool is said to leave in WWE Chairman Vince McMahon's good graces, and is expected to return to television about the same time Undertaker appears again.

Michelle McCool Named Top Female Wrestler in North America

On September 7th, Pro Wrestling Illustrated will release an issue featuring the third annual "PWI Female 50" list, which ranks the top 50 female wrestlers in North America. It has been revealed that WWE Diva Michelle McCool will rank number one on the list, topping last year's number one female, Mickie James. PWI noted that the decision was made based on the following:

FACT: Over the past 12 months, McCool has scored pinfall victories over Melina, Gail Kim, and Mickie James—three of the most decorated women wrestlers of the past decade.

FACT: From July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2010, McCool held (or co-held) the WWE Women’s championship for 325 of 365 days.

AJ Styles Talks about his MTV Show, Playing NCAA and Madden, and Michelle McCool using the Styles Clash

IGN: Listen, I have to ask. WWE Diva Michelle McCool has come under some fire on Twitter for using your finisher, "The Styles Clash," as her finisher. How do you feel about that? What's the etiquette in the industry? Do people ask to use other people's moves, or is that something that just happens when you're a competitor?

Styles: Gail Kim's one of my really good friends, and I asked her about that and we talked about it and she (McCool) does do my move, but I'm flattered that she would think to use that move. It doesn't bother me at all. I guess it might be different if a guy was doing it and calling it something else. At one point Crash Holly was doing the "Crash Landing" which was The Styles Clash, but little did I know that they were just big fans of the move. Crash was a good guy. We got along great. We actually did an independent show and we both were going for the Styles Clash and we got into an argument. It was really funny.

The fact of the matter is this. People know it. That's the Styles Clash. That's my move. I came up with it on my own. It's okay. I understand, you gotta come up with something and there's not a lot of moves in the world. It's hard to be different. But it's cool with me. Now it would be different if it was a guy in my own company. But there is that one dude. What's his name? I'm like, good grief, this guy does everyone else's move and hasn't come up with one. He's a heck of an athlete. Morrison. Yeah, I've seen him do a lot of Low Ki's moves. He does my Spiral Tap. I was like, "Man, this guy watches a lot of tape." But he does them well, so I can't say anything bad about him. He does them well. He's heck of an athlete...More?
