Scott Steiner Rips WWE For Bad Gimmicks, Trashes The WWE For Offering Him A Legends Contract, More

Former WCW Champion Scott Steiner was recently interviewed by Whatculture. During the interview, Steiner was very outspoken about his feelings as it pertained to World Wrestling Entertainment, and those in control of the company.

Steiner was asked if there was a possibility of a Steiner Brothers reunion, and mentioned his brother is really busy in real estate, and he just opened a new restaurant himself. He also revealed that he's been offered a WWE legends contract.

"WWE offered me a legends deal. My lawyer looked at it, and it's basically illegal, Steiner said. "It's not worth the paper that it's written on. So f--k them. That's why a lot of guys are leaving like Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. It's a monopoly and the product suffers because of it. You have two dumbasses running it in Stephanie and her (expletive) husband Triple H."

Scott Steiner went on to call the WrestleMania card 'horses--t.' He said that the way that they treat people that make them money is a key factor in why major names have abandoned the company over the last two and a half years. Steiner also said that he doesn't like that the WWE saddles talent with bad gimmicks.

"How do you get rid of a guy like CM Punk? I'm a friend of Rey's, he's sold a hell of a lot of merchandise. It's a monopoly, the only game in town. They want to treat people like s--t and that's why they leave. It's tough to watch. You have a guy coming up and these jackasses at WWE stamp a bulls--t gimmick on them...It's a bunch of s--t," Steiner said.

When asked about a potential return to WWE, Steiner said it would be financially motivated if he did end up doing it.

"Depends on how big that Brinks truck is that they pull into my driveway," Steiner said.

Regarding leaving WWE, Rey says after spending 13 years with WWE, he wanted to do his own thing, call his own shots and be with his family.

Rumor Mill - Rey Mysterio Considering Retirement Following the Death of Perro Aguayo Jr.

According to CMLL star Rey Bucanero, Rey Mysterio is considering retiring from professional wrestling following the tragic death of Perro Aguayo, Jr.

Mysterio was one of the wrestlers in the ring with Aguayo, and was reportedly devastated over the loss of a friend and colleague, not to mention the added burden of being the subject of numerous accusations from upset fans and members of the media. Rey will be making his first appearance since the tragedy tonight in Santa Clara, and again in San Jose for Wrestlecon this weekend.

Wrestlers Called To Testify Concerning The Passing Of Perro Aguyo Jr.

Rey Mysterio was backstage at recent AAA Lucha Underground tapings in Los Angeles. WWE officials were not happy when photos of Rey backstage and then later at a dinner with some people from the promotion popped up on social media. Those photos were quickly deleted. Rumor Mill - What Happened with Triple H & Mysterio When His WWE Deal Expired, More on Rey's Status

Rey Mysterio was essentially forced to stay under contract with WWE for one more year due to a clause in WWE contracts that allows the company to extend a contract if their performers miss a certain amount of time due to injuries.

When Rey's WWE contract expired this year, he reportedly told Triple H that he was not interested in renewing the deal. The two reportedly had a handshake agreement that WWE and Rey would go their separate ways.

Vince McMahon then had Mark Carrano from Talent Relations call Rey to inform him that they were renewing his deal for one more year based on that clause.

Rey is still out of action with a hand injury and has not appeared for them since January. With him living in California, there was some talk last week of bringing him to SummerSlam for media appearances but that obviously did not happen, possibly because WWE didn't want the questions about his status coming up.

Rumor Mill - Legal Issues Between WWE and Rey Mysterio?

Rey Mysterio’s WWE contract was renewed for one year by Vince McMahon last week despite Mysterio wanting to leave with the expiration of his contract.

WWE decided that due to Mysterio's recent injuries, he has missed so much time they enforced a rule in which contracts may be frozen and thus Mysterio is now paying back time to the company he has missed through until May 2015.

According to sources, there is a potential legal issue that has not played out.

Rumor Mill - WWE Re-Writes Script for 2015 Movie to Replace CM Punk, WWE Distancing Themselves

WWE is facing an issue with CM Punk being tied to a lot of licensing and future projects. Word from someone working on WWE Studios' Flinstones movie that comes out in 2015 reports that the script is being re-written for another Superstar to replace Punk's character, likely Rey Mysterio.

WWE is really trying to distance themselves from CM Punk and not use any Punk material, as seen with them removing him from WrestleMania recap video packages and other media. Regarding the 24 episodes of Slam City that are completed, WWE couldn't take Punk's character out because they've been done for months but they will be downplaying his involvement.

The Camp WWE adult cartoon that is expected to hit the WWE Network this year will also likely be re-done now that Punk has left the company.

Triple H Being Patient With Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio may be out of action until 2014 while he waits on his knee to strengthen. Unlike in the past where WCW and WWE have put heavy pressure on him to return, this time around Triple H has been very good with him, telling Mysterio not to rush things and putting zero added pressure on him.
