Triple H's Response When Asked About Matt Morgan

When Matt Morgan's name was brought up to Triple H about being hired, Triple H's response is that they are spending millions of dollars on the new Performance Center so their focus is on developing younger guys on their own to bring in as opposed to experienced older guys. Obviously if it was a bigger name there could be an exception made, but that is WWE's mentality in most cases going forward.

TNA Star Granted His Release From The Organization

ProWrestling.net is reporting that Matt Morgan was granted his release from TNA today. Morgan had requested his release a month ago.

Morgan hinted leaving the organization in spring of 2012, only to return in the fall. He had been used sparingly and inconsistently since his return.

As noted earlier, the company also released Crimson, Joey Ryan, Christian York, Taeler Hendrix and Madison Rayne last week.

Rumor Mill - WWE Staying Away From ANY Recent TNA Talent Including Ric Flair

Alex Shelley, Velvet Sky, Devon, Angelina Love & Ric Flair have been names that are linked to going to the WWE in recent weeks. According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE is "steering clear of any and all recently affiliated TNA Wrestling talent while the two grappling organizations do battle in court."

This is all stemming back from the recent TNA-WWE lawsuit still going on regarding TNA's contract information & WWE's use of it.

A good example of this is through Matt Morgan who decided to appear at a TNA house show on Saturday which appears as though WWE didn't rehire Morgan.

"Nobody is talking about Shelley and they won't even officially talk to Flair even though his non-compete is up," said Dave Meltzer on the official Wrestling Observer website.

TNA is also looking for cost cutting measures by "restructuring talent contracts" when they expired. This is what is said to be behind the departures of Devon and Velvet Sky.

Matt Morgan Wins One for Dad

Matt Morgan, The Blue Print, The DNA of TNA. This jacked, 7-0, 330-pound, intelligent athlete is all that and more. He is also flesh and blood, heart and soul.

Former WWE Wrestlers to Donate Brains for Research

Former WWE wrestler Chris Nowinski issued a memo to PWTorch today listing several former WWE wrestlers who have agreed to donate their brains following death to aid the research of brain trauma from repeated blows to the head.

"Over 20 wrestlers have already enrolled or recently pledged to join the study, including Rob Van Dam, Matt Morgan, Lance Storm, Ken Kennedy, Molly Holly, Tony Garea, Antonio Thomas, Dawn Marie, Kevin Fertig, and other big names who at this point choose to remain anonymous," Nowinski said in a memo. "The only group of professional athletes so far with a greater commitment to this research is NFL players, with over 60 current and retired players involved."

Nowinski issued the memo in response to ESPN's report that Andrew "Test" Martin showed signs of long-term brain damage as a result of repeated trauma to his head during his wrestling career...More?

Matt Morgan Joins the Sports Legacy Institute

Matt Morgan stated the following on his twitter page:

“I’m now an official member of Chris Nowinski’s Sports Legacy Institute! I have signed on to donate my brain to this very earnest, admirable cause. Concussions is a very serious topic that desperately needs more addressing so I’m proud to be part of something that will def help future wrestlers and other athletes for yrs to come. I've noticed more & more, that wrestlers are starting to see the ramifications that concussions can cause. Its leading to more guys to take more self-preventative measures when in the ring. I know it has for me! I encourage any and all athletes to please look into the Sports Legacy Institute to see how u may be able to help, and most importantly, learn more!”

Sting Talks About Sunday's PPV and his Son Playing for Azusa Pacific

How much longer do you think you can wrestle?

Right now I honestly don’t know how to answer that question. There are so many things to consider that I haven’t thought about it. Sunday night will factor in.

Who do you see as the face of TNA five years from now?

Certainly my opponent on Sunday (Styles). There is so much talent in the company right now that it could be one of many young guys we have today. I’ve wrestled against guys like Samoa Joe and Matt Morgan who have shown they have what it takes to be at the top...More?

Rumor Mill - Booker T Bookin'?

According to prowrestling.net, Booker T is not expected to remain with the company once his contract expires (rumored to be in November). TNA News

TNA wanted 2 Cold Scorpio to play the role of Rasheed Lucius Consequences Creed as a new member for 'Team Pacman'. No word on why it didn't go down but that's definitely who they wanted. Styles and Tomko won the tag titles anyways so that's the route they are going. No more 'Pacman'.

There will be at tournament on iMPACT! based on eliminations from the battle royal at Bound for Glory. It was setup so it would be Young vs. James Storm, Junior Fatu vs. Roode, Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley, and Frankie Kazarian vs. Lance Hoyt.

Before the TNA Bound for Glory PPV The Motor City Machineguns of Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin d. Joey Matthews (Joey Mercury) & Johnny Swinger (Johnny Parisi).

Kevin Nash is going to be wrestling in TNA at the next PPV - Genesis. Yay. This also means TNA offered him more money to stick around.

The Amazing Kong is now known as Awesome Kong.

Look for Matt Morgan vs. Tomko, possibly at the iMPACT! tapings this week and Sting vs. Kevin Nash at TNA Genesis.
