Mele Mel Pursues WWE Career

Although he is revered in Hip-Hop circles, Mele Mel is planning to make an impact of a different kind in the world of professional wrestling.

The rapper, who was recently inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, will attempt to become the latest champion in Vince McMahon's World Wrestling Entertainment.

"I'm going to try and get some of John Cena's money [current WWE champ] and get with the WWE to do my thing," Mele Mel told AllHipHop.com "I went to the wrestling school over the summer and picked up a little bit of moves. I wanted to see if it was something that I wanted to do, other than just dreaming of wanting to be a wrestler. It's a little rough, but it's something that can be done."....source: AllHipHop.com

This is one of the dumbest decisions I have heard in a while. This man is considered a legend in hiphop and now he wants to destroy his image by getting into a wrestling ring with guys half his age and a ton more skill. I'm not sure why he would think that the WWE would be interested in him. I guess we'll have to see if I have to eat my words.

Over at magsdirect.com, I was looking for The Source magazine. Apparently they sent a cease and desist letter to Hip Hop Weekly which is another publication the can be subscribed to a magsdirect.com. The Source is accusing Hip Hop Weekly of trademark infringement.

Two former owners of The Source now work on Hip Hop Weekly and they state this on the front of their publication. Stay tuned for more drama. You can also subscribe to them at magsdirect.com.

The 20-year unbroken run of two presidential dynasties could be about to get longer following yesterday's long-awaited announcement that senator Hillary Clinton - wife of former president Bill Clinton - is running for the White House.

"I'm in," she declared in a video posted on her website, using the internet to declare her candidacy, as did her chief rival, Barack Obama, just a few days before.

According to the polls, Senator Clinton is the Democrats' front-running candidate for the 2008 presidential race. Much of the attention is focused on the fact that Senator Clinton would be the first woman president and that Senator Obama would be the first black president.

Criminal Probe Launched Into Water-Poisoning

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - As participants in KDND-FM’s water-drinking contest chugged bottle after bottle, a listener called in to warn the disc jockeys that the stunt was dangerous — and could be fatal. “Yeah, we’re aware of that,” one of them responded.
Another DJ said with a laugh: “Yeah, they signed releases, so we’re not responsible. We’re OK.” Those comments, and others made during the Jan. 12 “Morning Rave” radio show, appeared to give little regard to the risk of water intoxication — until a woman died just hours after imbibing nearly two gallons in the contest.

On Wednesday, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department launched a criminal investigation into the incident, and attorneys for the family of Jennifer Lea Strange said they plan to file a wrongful death lawsuit against the radio station.

Crackhead Update, Etc.

Nothing really new concerning PK (the crackhead at work). She is still getting high at lunch time. I don't know how she functions throughout the day. In the morning, she has a bad attitude because she hasn't done anything yet. She goes to the bathroom and emerges a new person...with red nose.

CF and I met up again today. As usual good sex. We are making plans for later in the month and early February.

Rapper THE GAME has slammed the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star using the same stage name, claiming it was he who first used the moniker.
The DREAMS hitmaker - real name JAYCEON TAYLOR - is furious the TV heavyweight has copied his signature, and challenges his namesake to a fight to prove his credentials.
He says, "I'm much stronger than (wrestler The Game) is. I was 'The Game' long before he came about.

Former WWE Licensing Agent Admits To Fraud

Former WWE licensing agent Stanley Shenker pleaded guilty today in U.S. district court in Bridgeport of conspiring to defraud WWE by paying around $950,000 in kickbacks to James Bell, who was then senior vice president of licensing and merchandise. Bell has already pleaded guilty in regards to his role. Shenker paid Bell off so Bell would give his company valuable WWE licenses. source: rajah.com
