LOS ANGELES -- The Game was charged Monday with making a criminal threat and possessing a firearm in a school zone, authorities said.
The felony charges against the 27-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, stemmed from a fight during a Feb. 24 pickup basketball game in South Los Angeles, the district attorney's office said.
The Game says tears were shed when he was feuding with 50 Cent and wondering if he'd get the chance to release a second album. The rapper "The Game" was charged Monday June 4, 2007, with making a criminal threat and possessing a firearm in a school zone, authorities said Monday.
Taylor pulled a gun from his red Cadillac Escalade after punching a player on the opposing team and threatened to shoot him, police said.
The hip-hop star was arrested May 11 at his Glendale home by police executing a search warrant and was released on $50,000 bail. He also is charged with exhibiting a firearm in the presence of an officer. Taylor was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday in Los Angeles. He faces more than five years in state prison if convicted. His attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, did not immediately return a message seeking comment.

This the same person that claims he had the moniker "The Game" before Triple H had it. Apparently Taylor and the WWE are involved in litigation over its use. At this rate, Taylor won't need to worry about who had it first. He'll just be a number when he's locked up.

Man shot dead for bad singing in Philippine karaoke bar
MANILA (AFP) - A jobless man was shot dead by a security guard for singing out of tune in a Philippine karaoke bar, police said Thursday.
Romy Baligula, 29, was halfway through his song on Tuesday night in a bar in San Mateo town, east of Manila, when 43-year-old security guard Robilito Ortega yelled that he was out of tune. As Baligula ignored his comments and continued singing, Ortega pulled out his revolver and shot him in the chest. Senior Superintendent Felipe Rojas said Baligula died instantly.
The security guard was detained by an off-duty policeman shortly after the shooting.
Deaths and violence are not uncommon in Philippine karaoke bars.
The popular Frank Sinatra song "My Way" has been taken off many karaoke bars in Manila after it was found to be the cause of fights and even deaths when patrons sang out of tune.

Ex-con Tries to Cash in on Greed
Michele A. Fletcher doesn't look like a financially strapped woman only six months out of prison.
She's wearing a sharp black pantsuit. Her hair is perfectly straightened, her makeup carefully applied, her nails French-manicured. A long costume-jewelry cross hangs from her neck. Her prim appearance is as deceiving as the massive credit card scam for which she was convicted.
She's sitting in a bookstore, behind a table covered in slick fliers promoting her self-published novel, "Charge It to the Game," calling it a "remarkable story" and describing the protagonist as "coldblooded and conniving."
Story continues below ↓advertisement
It is a story, she says, based on her life.
The woman who lived the religion of buy-now, pay-never materialism is trying to shape a new identity -- as an author.
Old friends and curious acquaintances show up at this first book signing at the Mall at Prince Georges to see what has become of the Michele Fletcher who resided in the seven-bedroom Mediterranean-style home in Glenn Dale, owned three upscale hair salons and had a loving husband and three beautiful daughters. A picture-perfect family.
Except she and her husband financed that picture with the stolen identities of more than 40,000 people in what area authorities have described as one of the largest local fraud schemes in recent history.
Fletcher wrote her book while doing 2 1/2 years in prison -- six months of that in a halfway house. It is the gritty tale of a headstrong woman who took what she wanted -- in this case, a slew of bodacious jewelry and Manolo Blahniks....More?

Notorious debtor Serin shuts down blog
By Declan McCullagh, Staff Writer, CNET News.com
A failed real estate investor who rocketed to Internet stardom by blogging about his foreclosure, unemployment and marital strife has abruptly pulled the plug on his Web site.
Casey Serin, the 24-year-old would-be real estate mogul who was reduced to sharing a diminutive West Sacramento, Calif., townhouse with his sister-in-law, announced on Thursday that iamfacingforeclosure.com is dead and "will never return."
Since the blog's launch in September, Serin's regular posts about his refusal to get a job or pay off up to $420,000 that he owes creditors have garnered him an enthusiastic--if unrelentingly critical--audience known as "haterz."
Along the way, Serin's notoriety led to appearances on Suze Orman's and Robert Kiyosaki's advice shows, and the creation of an encyclopedia, Caseypedia.com, with hundreds of entries mocking his exploits. A Casey Serin Dance Remix appeared, as have photo galleries depicting him as Gilligan from Gilligan's Island and McDonald's Hamburglar character...More?

Ten wrestlers that WWE should move in the “draft lottery”
First, why should a wrestler be moved? Perhaps he needs to be moved to ‘freshen up’ his character. Or he might be in the ‘doghouse’ on one brand, and moving to a different brand could help give new direction. And some wrestlers have simply exhausted all possible matches on their brand, and moving to another brand will give them new opponents. Here’s my thoughts:
(1) Bobby Lashley to Raw. Let’s face it – Vince McMahon is in love with the guy. Vince loves the size and the look. Lashley has prettymuch been on Raw since WrestleMania anyway. Lashley gives Raw the needed “star power” it lacks with Edge’s defection to Smackdown, HBK’s injury, and the absent Triple H. Lashley has new matches waiting for him against Triple H (when he returns), Great Khali, and of course, John Cena.
(2) Chris Benoit to ECW. There have been many episodes of Smackdown in the past six months were Benoit was absent entirely, even when he was U.S. champion. He is simply underused, and sadly, Smackdown won’t really miss him if he moves. If Lashley is drafted to Raw, ECW will have a big vacant spot at the top of its card, and Benoit would be a good fit there. Benoit would have fresh matchups with CM Punk, Elijah Burke and others.
(3) Rey Mysterio to Raw. Mysterio should be about ready to come back. We’ve heard for a while that he would feud with Vince McMahon when he returns, and it just makes sense for him to move over to Raw. He’s been on Smackdown a long time now, so this will give him so fresh new feuds as well.
(4) MVP to Raw. Montell Vontavious Porter feels like the breakout star of 2007 right now, and Vince wants his stars on Raw. MVP could ditch the awful outfit today and immediately become one of the top players on Raw. Despite being on WWE television for only a short time, MVP has wrestled most of the top Smackdown talent. A move to Raw could make him a true ‘big time’ player.
(5) Marcus Cor Van to Smackdown. The New Breed didn’t last long, largely because it’s tough to have a four-man faction on a roster that is only about 14 wrestlers deep. Cor Van has been playing second fiddle to the younger Burke. But Cor Van clearly has the charisma and size to be a big time player. He also needs to be on a different brand than Lashley. A move to Smackdown puts him on prime time television every week.
(6) Kenny Dykstra to Smackdown. Dykstra quickly became a forgotten man on Raw, and I really don’t like the teaming with Johnny Nitro, as these two both seem to be better as singles wrestlers. Dykstra can start over fresh on Smackdown. He’s got a lot of potential, and he can work his way out of the doghouse over there.
(7) Johnny Nitro to ECW. Everything I just wrote about Dykstra is true for Nitro as well. After going through a hot stretch in December & January, Nitro was forgotten. But if my suggested moves were to happen, he would be in the top mix of ECW, facing opponents like Chris Benoit and CM Punk. He’s only bound to improve there.
(8) Paul Burchill to ECW. Remember the Smackdown pirate? Believe me, he can go in the ring. If he sheds the pirate gimmick, he can quickly become a pivotal player on the ECW brand.
(9 & 10) Cryme Tyme to ECW. I’ll let you in on a little secret – JTG and Shad are actually decent wrestlers! No, they aren’t Chris Benoit, but there not John Heidenreich, either! JTG has some decent ring moves, and Shad is actually a pretty large man. But the gimmick was too over the top and really ran its course quickly. Again, these guys are buried on Raw, so it’s not like they would really be missed, and they could really help ECW, which has lost so many faces of late (RVD and Sabu). I envision them battling Sandman & Tommy Dreamer, or a returning Sylvan & Rene Dupree, who were last seen on ECW.
