Former NFL Player and FOX Sports Broadcaster Bill Maas Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges

Former NFL player and FOX Sports broadcaster Bill Maas was charged with drug possession and weapons charges following a roadside safety check.

The 45-year-old Maas and a passenger in his Hummer, Sarah J. Murphy, 27, were arrested late Friday by Illinois State Police. During the stop, police indicated Maas seemed nervous, and he agreed to a search of his vehicle.

Police found a .22-caliber revolver, 5 grams of suspected marijuana, 6 grams of suspected cocaine and 28 pills of Ecstasy. Maas and Murphy were charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. Maas was also booked on a charge of unlawful use of a weapon...More?

Clay Aiken was involved in an airplane disturbance with another passenger Saturday while en route to Tulsa International Airport, a newspaper reported.

Washington Talk Radio Station Drops Bill O’Reilly

Washington DC FM talk radio station 106.7 WJFK yesterday announced it was dropping Bill O’Reilly’s nationally syndicated show, and replacing it with a sports-talk program. The Washington Post reports today that O’Reilly’s cancellation is a “case in point” of how poorly conservative radio programs have fared in DC.

New Investigation Against Dr. Phil Astin

FOX 5 In Atlanta, GA is reporting tonight that authorities are opening up an investigation into the death of Mike (Johnny Grunge) Durham, who passed away in February 2006.

Grunge was a close friend of Chris Benoit and was also a patient of Dr. Phil Astin. Investigators are looking into prescriptions that Astin gave Grunge, including one for 120 Soma tablets the day before Grunge died. The bottle was found empty...More?
