New documents filed by WWE on Tuesday with the Securities and Exchange commission (SEC) indicates an across-the-board sell-off of WWE stock by major insider holders.
The significant sellers included Kevin Dunn, executive VP of TV production, who sold 10,698 shares on the open market for a value of $171,274. In the same filing, he acquired 50,000 shares of WWE stock that will yield a value depending on "performance, vesting, and forfeiture provisions."
WWE COO Michael Sileck sold 8,364 shares at $16.01 for a value of $133,907. In June, he sold 18,811 shares for a total value of $336,528 when the stock price was $17.89.
Over the last two years, WWE Films division president Joel Simon had only sold stock once prior to this week. Documents filed on Tuesday indicate he disposed of approximately 14 percent of his stock for $103,952.
Other significant sellers were Shane and Stephanie McMahon, who only disposed of 224 and 209 shares, respectively. John Laurinaitis, VP of Talent Relations, sold 4,779 shares for a value of $76,511.
The price of WWE stock dipped below $16.00 per share at the close of business on Tuesday for the first time since June 29, when the stock was impacted by the Chris Benoit story.

Schilling: Lack of denials implies guilt
Curt Schilling says that Barry Bonds and Mark McGwire's refusals to address accusations of steroids use are tantamount to admissions.
"If someone wrote that stuff about me and I didn't sue their (butt) off, am I not admitting that there's some legitimacy to it?" he said on HBO's "Costas Now."
Schilling said "this will be the steroids era forever" and proposed that Jose Canseco and Rafael Palmeiro should be punished for steroids use...More?
Rasmussen taken out of race by team
Tour de France leader Michael Rasmussen was removed from the race by his team after winning Wednesday's stage, the biggest blow yet in cycling's doping-tainted premier event.
"Michael Rasmussen has been sent home for violating (the team's) internal rules," Rabobank team spokesman Jacob Bergsma told The Associated Press by phone.
The expulsion, which Bergsma said was ordered by the Dutch team sponsor, was linked to "incorrect" information that Rasmussen gave to the team's sports director over his whereabouts last month. Rasmussen, who also has been suspended from the team, missed random drug tests May 8 and June 28, saying he was in Mexico. Chris Benoit Joke by Jimmy Kimmel Falls Flat
Chris Benoit jokes already? Ever? Comedian Jimmy Kimmel decided to try and use the Benoit tragedy for a few laughs. The late night comic must have missed that a whole lot of people are still grieving for Benoit's wife Nancy and his young son Daniel. But it always seems okay to spoof professional wrestling and one can expect this to happen at some point, but now just yet.
It appears that you won't be seeing any Benoit jokes on Comedy Central just yet even though at least one has already been delivered by Kimmel. That's likely the right move as the joke involved a seven year old boy that was killed...More?
