While Tennessee Titans cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones has made headlines this week for agreeing to appear in TNA, the Ravens’ Ray Lewis confirmed reports in The Wrestling Observer that not only was he set to wrestle for TNA in June, but he also was going to get in the ring for WWE in 2001.
Lewis, whose animated personality would make him a natural for pro wrestling, had agreed to be James Storm’s partner in a tag-team match against former Titan and University of Maryland tight end Frank Wycheck and Jerry Lynn at the Slammiversary pay-per-view. Speaking to The Sun at training camp earlier this week, Lewis said that he backed out three days before the June 17 event...More?

Hollywood WWE vs. Hollywood NFL
...Perhaps Roger Goodell has "Vince envy," and not just because Michael Vick's dog-fighting quagmire has lived through more media cycles than Chris Benoit's domestic slaughter. This week, the NFL followed in the footsteps of the WWE and announced it's getting into the motion picture business.
NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel that the league will co-produce a bio-pic about Vince Lombardi - the first in what could be a series of NFL movies that detail moments in its storied history...More?

Second Congressional Committee Requests Steroid Testing Docs from WWE
According to a report by the New York Daily News, a second congressional committee has contacted WWE and has requested documents about the company’s steroid-testing policy.
The information was requested via a letter sent to Vince McMahon by Rep. Bobby Rush, chairman of the House Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommittee, and Rep. Cliff Sterns, the panel’s ranking Republican.
WWE spokesperson Gary Davis confirmed to the New York Daily News that the company has received the request. "We are reviewing it and will respond accordingly." Davis told the publication.
White says UFC's punishment is going to intensify
...Everybody knows our position on steroids. We invest a lot of money in these guys, then they get caught doing something stupid. It's going to happen. It's so hard to deal with. Should I call everybody every day and say, 'Don't snort cocaine, don't smoke heroin, don't kill anybody, don't drink and drive, don't do steroids'? It's common sense. Steroids are illegal. If you get caught by the athletic commission, you're getting suspended and fined and you'll never be looked at the same way again...More?
