This is from JR's blog:
"There have been a fair amount of comments here regarding Booker T leaving the WWE or not. Thus far I would say that Booker’s absence from TV has zilch to do with an alleged “resignation.” Until Booker or the WWE makes this “rumor” official, I have serious doubts that we have seen Booker for the last time on WWE programming. Being north of 40 it might serve Booker well to slow down his road schedule somewhat, but I can’t see the Houston native hanging up his boots just yet. However, that is a question that can only be addressed by one man (Booker) and he has yet to make that announcement. Personally, if I were Booker I would continue to wrestle and make the cash for as long as my body and my mind say “do it”. This matter will most likely be resolved one way or another within the next couple of months or so. Until then, all one hears is rumor, unless it is from Booker himself or the WWE in an official press release."

Fake Sometimes Has Real Consequences
Lance Evers remembers well the night in Philadelphia in 1998. It's hard not to because wrestling fans still bring it up nearly a decade later. The show was an Extreme Championship Wrestling pay-per-view called Barely Legal. And Evers was booed out of the building.
His crime?
"I still get e-mails from fans asking me what was up with the weak chair shots," Evers said. "It got me booed that night. But I just wasn't comfortable with killing the guy." Wait a minute. Evers is a professional wrestler, right? And wrestling is fake, right?
It is. But the chairs aren't.
"Unfortunately guys are expected to take chair shots to the head or dangerous bumps," said Evers, who wrestled under the name Lance Storm. "And a lot of guys want to perform and worry about the consequences later."...More?

Update on Hunter & Shawn at OVW
Reports suggest that one of the main reasons Triple H and Shawn Michaels were at last week’s OVW event was to see how Al Snow was handling the training. It was a situation where WWE just wanted an "informed opinion" on how developmental was proceeding, which was planned weeks ago. Al Snow was said to not have been happy about the situation. HBK will be a top player when Vince McMahon decides to lesson his duties.

Triple H playing risky game
Most people would not respect anyone who spat in their face. But not Triple H. And if you watched The Game closely two weeks ago during his encounter with Carlito, he smiled as phlegm and Red Delicious apple chunks ran down his eyes and cheeks. He liked the fact that Carlito had the guts to spit in the face of someone he didn’t think was cool, even if that someone was the 10-time world champion and King of Kings...More?

Konnan's fund raising drive is appalling
...Konnan is a pro wrestler who was in need of a kidney transplant. I read months ago about a donation drive to pay for Konnan’s medical expenses regarding the kidney transplant. At the time I was infuriated by the whole idea of the donation drive and would get into arguments with mutual friends of Konnan’s about it. Hey, this has nothing to do with being a nice guy but for a guy who claims to keep it real let’s get real for a second here about Konnan.
I think the idea of raising money for a man who blew millions of dollars throughout his career to replace a kidney as a result of years of drug abuse is appalling...More?

UFC Sets Record
This past weekend, 4.7 million viewers tuned in to Spike TV to watch UFC 75: CHAMPION vs. CHAMPION. The event featured the first UFC title match ever on Spike and saw Quinton "Rampage" Jackson retain the UFC Light Heavyweight championship against Dan "Hollywood" Henderson. The UFC 75 telecast emanating from the O2 Arena in London, England peaked at 5.6 million viewers. The fight card drew more Men 18-34 and Men 18-49 than anything else on television, broadcast or cable on September 8, including heavy sports competition from college football on ABC and ESPN, NASCAR on ABC, and the U.S. Open Women’s Final on CBS. “The ratings are further proof that the tide in American sports is changing,” said Kevin Kay, General Manager, Spike TV. “Young men, who constitute the Spike TV core audience, prefer the incredible action and athleticism of the UFC to more traditional sports.”
