WWE Status of Triple H & Stephanie

Lawyer: Benoit's Diary Shows Signs Of Depression, Dementia

Channel 2 Action News in Atlanta has learned exclusive details of the entries in wrestler Chris Benoit's diary.

His father's attorney believes the wrestler's writings show signs of dementia and depression years before Benoit killed his wife, child and himself.

The photocopied first page of the diary is inscribed, 'To Christopher from Nancy,' with the date November 25, 2005.

All the handwritten entries are addressed to Eddie Guerrero, a close wrestling friend of Benoit's, who died the same year of an enlarged heart.

"He was upset, very upset, about Eddie's death. He says in a number of places how much he loved Eddie and what dear friends they were. He also says at one point that, 'I will be with you soon,' so it appears as though he was having some thoughts about his own mortality," said Carry Ichter, Benoit's father's attorney...More?

Lex Luger's confessions of a drug-abuse survivor

Just before high noon, sun scorching down so intensely that it softens the asphalt, a sweet, white and black '66 Caddy Sedan de Ville rolls up to within a few yards of the Golden Corral, a buffet joint. Out steps an old egotistical, narcissistic heel clad in khaki pants, a plaid cotton shirt and sandals.

In a matter of moments, Lex Luger abruptly breaks into wrestling character, a cocksure grin on his tanned face. He tilts his head and rolls his eyes up to the blue heavens. He pushes up his right sleeve to flex his ripped, ham-bone-sized bicep.

Then, just as suddenly, the shtick ends. With metal cane in hand, Luger hobbles off to lunch...More?

Update on Booker T's WWE Status

This is from JR's blog:

"There have been a fair amount of comments here regarding Booker T leaving the WWE or not. Thus far I would say that Booker’s absence from TV has zilch to do with an alleged “resignation.” Until Booker or the WWE makes this “rumor” official, I have serious doubts that we have seen Booker for the last time on WWE programming. Being north of 40 it might serve Booker well to slow down his road schedule somewhat, but I can’t see the Houston native hanging up his boots just yet. However, that is a question that can only be addressed by one man (Booker) and he has yet to make that announcement. Personally, if I were Booker I would continue to wrestle and make the cash for as long as my body and my mind say “do it”. This matter will most likely be resolved one way or another within the next couple of months or so. Until then, all one hears is rumor, unless it is from Booker himself or the WWE in an official press release."

Fake Sometimes Has Real Consequences

Lance Evers remembers well the night in Philadelphia in 1998. It's hard not to because wrestling fans still bring it up nearly a decade later. The show was an Extreme Championship Wrestling pay-per-view called Barely Legal. And Evers was booed out of the building.

His crime?

"I still get e-mails from fans asking me what was up with the weak chair shots," Evers said. "It got me booed that night. But I just wasn't comfortable with killing the guy." Wait a minute. Evers is a professional wrestler, right? And wrestling is fake, right?

It is. But the chairs aren't.

"Unfortunately guys are expected to take chair shots to the head or dangerous bumps," said Evers, who wrestled under the name Lance Storm. "And a lot of guys want to perform and worry about the consequences later."...More?

Update on Hunter & Shawn at OVW

Reports suggest that one of the main reasons Triple H and Shawn Michaels were at last week’s OVW event was to see how Al Snow was handling the training. It was a situation where WWE just wanted an "informed opinion" on how developmental was proceeding, which was planned weeks ago. Al Snow was said to not have been happy about the situation. HBK will be a top player when Vince McMahon decides to lesson his duties.
