When discussing fighter salaries, Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White is fond of saying, "I take care of my guys."
Some of those guys aren't so sure.
Last week, UFC heavyweight champion Randy Couture walked away from the organization with two fights left on his contract, in part, due to what he thought was low pay compared to other UFC stars. He also told Sherdog.com that the UFC lied to him about being the second-highest paid fighter in the promotion.
Couture is not alone when it comes to being dissatisfied with how the UFC doles out dollars. Light heavyweight Dan Henderson, who was in Houston on Saturday to conduct a clinic at Miletich Fighting Systems, says dealing with the UFC on compensation and contracts is challenging and not as easy as previous negotiations with Pride Fighting Championships...More?

TNA News
TNA wanted 2 Cold Scorpio to play the role of Rasheed Lucius Consequences Creed as a new member for 'Team Pacman'. No word on why it didn't go down but that's definitely who they wanted. Styles and Tomko won the tag titles anyways so that's the route they are going. No more 'Pacman'.
There will be at tournament on iMPACT! based on eliminations from the battle royal at Bound for Glory. It was setup so it would be Young vs. James Storm, Junior Fatu vs. Roode, Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley, and Frankie Kazarian vs. Lance Hoyt.
Before the TNA Bound for Glory PPV The Motor City Machineguns of Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin d. Joey Matthews (Joey Mercury) & Johnny Swinger (Johnny Parisi).
Kevin Nash is going to be wrestling in TNA at the next PPV - Genesis. Yay. This also means TNA offered him more money to stick around.
The Amazing Kong is now known as Awesome Kong.
Look for Matt Morgan vs. Tomko, possibly at the iMPACT! tapings this week and Sting vs. Kevin Nash at TNA Genesis.

Holyfield Urged To Retire After Losing Title Bout To Ibragimov
Evander Holyfield has made up his mind. A loss to Sultan Ibragimov won't stop him, nor will the approach of his 45th birthday. "My goal is to be the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world," Holyfield said.
His trainer, Ronnie Shields, is less than enthusiastic about such a project.
"I think he should take some time and think about what he wants to do," he said. "I can't make that decision for him." Holyfield's resume is one of the most extensive in boxing: four world heavyweight titles and the undisputed cruiserweight crown during a 23-year pro career.
Two other trainers, Jeff Mayweather and Freddie Roach, think it's time for him to quit following a loss by unanimous decision Saturday night that allowed Ibragimov to keep the WBO title. "There's always a time and his has come," Roach said. "He's got nothing left to prove. I'd hate to see him end up being hurt. He's got a lot of money, but what's that worth if you can't count it?"...More?

ROH is ready for its first trip to the West Coast this weekend!!! It all starts this Friday in Las Vegas for "Survival Of The Fittest 2007" at the Empire Ballroom in the heart of the Strip. We have a look at the entire card below including the ROH debut of Human Tornado and main show debut of Tony Kozina. You can argue that this is ROH's greatest all time rivalry after "Driven" and now the feud comes to Las Vegas!!! McGuinness is angrier than ever at Danielson after what Danielson did after Nigel won the belt. You can see the incident for yourself in the new ROH Video Wire...More?
Raw Preview - English Pound
Raw hops the pond this week to visit Birmingham, England in what promises to be a bloody good show. But while the Superstars will be hopping the pond, their rivalries will remain firmly entrenched.
Chief among them: Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels and Triple H vs. Umaga.
Michaels stunned Orton when he returned from spending months on the sidelines and put him to sleep with Sweet Chin Music. What else does HBK have in store for the Legend Killer? And do his plans include Orton’s newly-won WWE Championship?
Meanwhile, last week, Umaga continued relentlessly punishing Triple H long after the bell had sounded in their Handicap Match pitting The Game against the Samoan Bulldozer & WWE Champion Randy Orton. After adding injury to insult, can Umaga really hope to leave Europe without feeling the wrath of The Game?...More?

Randy Couture exit shows cracks in slick veneer of the UFC
Leaving the limelight at 44 is not unexpected for an athlete but heavyweight champion Randy Couture's sudden decision to quit the UFC exposes a few cracks in the slick veneer of the mixed martial arts powerhouse.
One visible scratch left by Couture on his way out of the UFC concerns money.
The lid has been lifted on player salaries in most major pro leagues in North America, either because of the need to fit within salary caps or because unions have decided that their membership benefit when the numbers are known...More?

Excerpt from Batista's Book
Speaking of Charles Barkley, I met another of my basketball heroes thanks to wrestling, though I can’t say that he was much of a Batista fan. In fact, his idol turned out to be Triple H.
The player was Alonzo Mourning. He’s best known now as a star for the Miami Heat in the NBA, but back at the end of the eighties and early nineties he was starting for the Georgetown Hoyas, then as now one of the country’s top college basketball teams. Seeing as how I was from Washington, D.C., Georgetown University was my local team and I was a big fan of theirs and Mourning.
Hunter and I did a celebrity pool tournament at the tail end of 2004. The only thing I remember about the tournament was the fact that Alonzo was in the celebrity tournament, too. I, of course, turned into a little kid. I was just about jumping up and down. “Man, it’s great, it’s Alonzo Mourning, yeah!” I was thinking to myself.
Anyway, Alonzo saw us and recognized Hunter. He came over and started talking to him, telling him he’s a big fan, the whole thing. Hunter thanked him and they started talking.
I have to admit, I was kind of jealous. Here’s this guy I absolutely idolized, and he was talking to my friend for a good half hour and pretty much ignoring me. I just stood there, taking it all in.
So, they’re talking and talking. Finally, Hunter says goodbye to him and we all move on. As we’re walking away, Hunter turns to me and says, “Who was that, anyway?”
“Are you fucking kidding me?” I asked.
“No. Who was it? Really. Who was it?”
That sort of thing happened a lot that night. People would come up to Hunter and he had no idea who they were. He has tunnel vision sometimes. If it doesn’t involve wrestling, he doesn’t know about it.
Hunter has all sorts of fans across the world. As a matter of fact, my mom is a great fan. She calls him a living legend.

Academy Award winner and Hollywood superstar Nicolas Cage is currently in negotiations to star in a movie about the pro wrestling industry, currently titled "The Wrestler." Here's a synopsis of the project from the Entertainment Trade Journal: "The movie tells the story of Randy ''The Ram'' Robinson, a 1980s-era pro wrestler who has become a burnt-out shell of his former self. After he has a heart attack during a small-time match, a doctor tells him he could die if he fights again. He moves in with an aging stripper and takes a job at a deli, but then decides he can't pass"
