DX marks the spot, one night only

For one night only, D-Generation X – Triple H and Shawn Michaels – will be reunited next Monday on Raw, and they will take on WWE Champion Randy Orton & Umaga, WWE.com has learned. But is the one-night DX reunion part of an evil plan by Mr. McMahon?

The Game and HBK were brought back together last night on Raw when Michaels saved his former DX teammate from a potentially career-ending beatdown by Orton and the Samoan Bulldozer during a 2-on-1 Handicap Match. As Triple H and The Showstopper celebrated in the ring, Mr. McMahon looked on with Raw GM William Regal from the back. With a far away, evil gleam in his eyes, the Chairman told Regal that DX would be back together for one night only next week on Raw, adding, “Things always happen when I want them to happen, the way I want them to happen.”...More?

Firefighters' screams led to heroic rescue

A week after flames engulfed Southern California, several firefighters are trying to forget the screams that pushed them to make a heroic rescue.

A shrill voice pierced Ray Chaney's headset as he flew a small plane about a mile above the U.S.-Mexico border on October 21. The air traffic controller looked helplessly at the sea of flames below.

The desperate call for help crackled on firefighter radio frequencies for miles around, signaling to fire crews that somewhere, deep in the smoke, a wall of flames had overcome four firefighters. They had been trying to save a man and his son, who were stranded in a hilltop home.

"There was one scream and then a series of them," Chaney said. "I really try not to think about it."...More?

Circle of Champions: Triple H & Detron

...Detron has always enjoyed watching Triple H. Noticeable to many — including the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the WWE Community Relations department — was his desire and overall nervousness to meet Triple H. The foundation, along with WWE, came together to see Detron’s wish come true — and the courageous youngster knew his meeting was mere moments away.

“Relax, kid,” Triple H said calmly, as he strutted into the room. “You don’t have to be scared; I don’t bite. I’ve already eaten one kid today.”...“It’s very humbling to know that meeting you can mean so much to someone,” he said. “When you see how much it touches them or hear later how much it meant to them, I can’t put into words how it makes me feel. The money, the fame… everything else that comes with being a Superstar – nothing compares to the feelings I get at these types of events.”...More?

“There’s more to wrestling than being a well known personality,” said Big Vito, “I like being able to give back to the community.”

The Hunt Is On For WrestleFanFest Promoter Chris Salisbury

The hunt is on for promoter Chris Salisbury following the complete sham that was WrestleFanFest. Wrestlers staging sit down protests, fights, no shows and bounced checks have been hitting the headlines all week, but what about the false advertising to the fans, lack of promised transport and the snatch and run of Gladiator Energy Drink's investment? Galdiator forked out $300,000 for the event and will be seeking it back by any means necessary.

To put it bluntly, Salisbury has stolen an investment, ripped of the fans and not paid the wrestlers and once he's found, lawsuits and legal proceedings will probably be ongoing for months.

Booker T moves on from WWE but says he's not finished wrestling yet

Over the past year, World Wrestling Entertainment had been ruled by King Booker. But the king has vacated his throne.

After seven successful years with World Wrestling Entertainment, the wrestler best known as Booker T (Robert Booker Huffman) decided it was time to walk away from the promotion.

On Oct. 16, the WWE announced that he and his wife, Sharmell, had been given their releases from their contracts effective as of Oct. 27.

Booker T was serving a 60-day suspension when his name came up on a list of clients of Signature Pharmacy, which has been battling an investigation by New York prosecutors alleging the sale of performance-enhancing drugs over the Internet. Booker T has denied that he was ever a client of that company and feels that he was a scapegoat...More?
