More Fallout for CNN

TVNewser, named one of the most influential blogs in television by the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, has picked up the story about CNN's so-called investigation of the WWE and steroids. At issue, their lack of integrity concerning John Cena's interview.

Nicolas Cage out - Mickey Rourke In

Mickey Rourke is getting into the ring with "The Wrestler," the indie drama that Darren Aronofsky will direct in January.

Rourke will play Randy "The Ram" Robinson," a role that Nicolas Cage had reportedly been set to play. There was no word Sunday as to why he had left the project.

Aronofsky and Robert Siegel wrote the script for "The Wrestler," about an over-the-hill grappler who returns to the ring for one last shot at glory.

CNN owes Cena an apology

...I have always thought that Vince McMahon was overly paranoid about the media, but after a summer filled with sensationalistic reporting on the Chris Benoit story and now this, I’m starting to think he might be justified.

Nice Response to the Negative Spin on Triple H's Comment

Mike Abitabile at Devil's Advocate has posted a great commentary on the spin that the smarks have put on Triple H's response to being questioned about the Montreal Screwjob. Triple H was asked what would have happened if Shawn Michaels had been screwed instead of Bret Hart.

Mike states in part...When they go to Triple H, he said "That never would've happened. We're not that stupid." Now, maybe I am alone here, but I thought it was pretty obvious that HHH was saying that, in his opinion, Vince would not have been stupid enough to screw Shawn instead of Bret. Not so, says Mike Johnson of PWInsider, who posted this news under the headline "Triple H Calls Bret Hart Stupid" (here). I really don't see how that adds up to calling Bret stupid, maybe I am alone though.

No Mike, you are not alone.

Cena: Steroids? "Absolutely not"

In a country in which the news media is highly suspect, and the quality of unbiased reporting has been thrown into the trash can, CNN has stooped to new depths. Notwithstanding the fairness, or lack therein, of CNN’s recent piece entitled “Death Grip: Inside Pro Wrestling,” perhaps the best example of how CNN misrepresents and unfairly presents their biased, if not illegal, point of view is the comparison of WWE’s unedited video above to CNN’s edited version. CNN’s depiction of John Cena as it relates to steroids is not only professionally and morally wrong, but damaging to his character.
