USA Renews 'Monday Night Raw'

NBC Universal extended its deal with World Wrestling Entertainment to air “Monday Night Raw” on USA Network through 2010.

In addition to “Raw” on USA, WWE will continue to provide NBC with special programming twice a year for the late-night Saturday time slot.

WWE will also continue to provide its weekend program, "A.M. Raw,” for USA and provide a Spanish-language version of “Monday Night Raw” for NBC Universal’s Telemundo and mun2.

MLB Stars Suspended 15 Games for Drug Policy Violations

Jose Guillen and Jay Gibbons were suspended Thursday for the first 15 days of next season for violating baseball's drug policy, an indication how the sport might treat any players named in the Mitchell steroids investigation.

Guillen and Gibbons were accused in media reports of receiving human growth hormone after January 2005, when it was banned by baseball.

Gary Matthews Jr., Rick Ankiel, Troy Glaus and Scott Schoeneweis also were linked to HGH, but baseball decided there was "insufficient evidence" to determine they committed a doping violation. They were accused of receiving performance-enhancing drugs before 2005...More?

Former NASCAR Driver Joins TNA

Former NASCAR driver Hermie Sadler makes his debut Thursday night, Dec. 6, as a professional wrestling broadcaster for iMPACT! (9 p.m. ET), airing on Spike TV.

Sadler retired from the NASCAR Nextel Cup series after the 2006 season and is now an analyst for NASCAR on SPEED and Direct TV Hot Pass. He also has been a wrestling promoter and in-ring performer for the past few years.

Sadler joins Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling iMPACT! alongside play-by-play announcer Mike Tenay and color commentator Don West for a match between "Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels and Senshi, which was taped at Universal Studios Florida.

Columbia Records Enters Into New Agreement with WWE

Columbia Records has entered into a new agreement with World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. "RAW - Greatest Hits - The Music," the first musical release under the new Columbia Records/WWE Music Group arrangement, will be available in stores and online on Tuesday, December 18.
