In Georgia, a smackdown over wrestling safety

Fan Report

We received this report from the December 29th SmackDown/ECW show in Baltimore:

This was a great show with an energetic crowd.

The double main event saw the Brothers of Destruction (Kane and Taker) defeat Khali and Viscera.

Edge retained his title against Batista in a last man standing match after interference.

Incidently, the Maryland State Athletic Commission contacted WWE last week to make sure none of the WWE talents who have been suspended in the past for violating the Wellness Policy would be performing at last weekend's SmackDown/ECW live event in Baltimore, MD.

Two superstars who have been recently suspended wrestled on the card anyway, as Chavo Guerrero and John Morrison were in action.

Matt Hughes and his entourage walked into the ring with T-shirts that read "One More Round." After the whooping Georges St. Pierre put on Hughes, the Illinois farmboy won't want any more rounds with the guy who appears to be the future of the UFC welterweight division.
