Marion Jones sentenced to six months in prison

Marion Jones said she was scared. She said she was sorry. With a catch in her voice, she said her young sons needed her.

"I ask you to be as merciful as a human being can be," she implored the judge.

To no avail. The former Olympic track gold medalist was sentenced to six months in prison Friday for lying to investigators about using performance-enhancing drugs and her role in a check-fraud scam.

And so ended a long fall from grace for the one-time fastest woman on earth...More?

Triple H's Wendy's Commercial

VH1's 'Celebrity Rehab' Could Become a Habit

Given that VH1's lineup is littered with reality shows about faded stars who make fools of themselves for our guilty-pleasure enjoyment, it would seem easy to toss the network's new series "Celebrity Rehab" into that same trash bin.

But not so fast. Surprisingly, "Celebrity Rehab" -- in which everyone from aging actors Jeff Conaway and Daniel Baldwin and "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra talks out a personal struggle with substance abuse -- is compelling and thoughtful...More?

Congress looking for snitches

Rep. Henry A. Waxman has set up a tipline on the U.S. House of Representatives website concerning steroid use in professional wrestling. They are encouraging anyone with information to contact them and give them any tips concerning steroid use in professional wrestling.

I don't have any information, but if I did I wouldn't tell him a damn thing...

The numbers don't lie...TNA's booking sucks!

From Eric Gargiulo at phillyburbs.com:

I finally feel a little vindicated about my endless rants for the last two years about TNA wrestling. I have spent many Saturday afternoons on Pro Wrestling Radio losing my temper out of frustration when discussing TNA. I have said countless times that the booking is just downright awful. I have wondered how anyone who subjects themselves to the torture of watching Impact would be moved to pay money to watch TNA wrestling...More?

Clemens' actions not very convincing

Roger Clemens once threw a pitch at Mike Piazza's head, then acted like the wronged party. So it's no surprise that Clemens, the ultimate competitor, is at it again. He is throwing pitch after pitch at former trainer Brian McNamee, trying to knock down McNamee's credibility.

The first pitch came Sunday on "60 Minutes," in an interview with Mike Wallace.

The second pitch came Monday, with word of a defamation lawsuit against McNamee, and a press conference that was supposed to make Clemens look like a hero and make McNamee look like a desperate liar.

Unfortunately, this pitch missed McNamee completely...More?

Triple H & Big Show Rib as told by Chris Masters

I’ve got a WWE story a lot of you may get a kick out of!! It was probably the best rib to happen in the ring for me. It was a house show in Louisville, KY where HHH & myself worked against Shawn Michaels & the Big Show. Now I’ve worked these guys on many occasions, but for some reason when going over the match that day the Big Show was very adamant about incorporating this spot into the heat.

He wanted me to lift him for a body slam, but he wanted to land on top of me --basically a failed attempt. So, I couldn’t understand why it was such a priority to do such a basic spot, but he emphasized it a few times before the match. We’re in the heat & he calls for the body slam & I thought ok…let’s do it. Everything went as planned. I lifted him and collapsed under his weight for a 2 count.

I got up to a knee after the pin fall selling the fact that a 500lb man just fell on top of me & next thing I know HHH comes into the ring w/o a tag and starts lecturing me on not being able to lift the Big Show thou I’m the Masterpiece. He begins to scold me in the ring and proceeds to walk to the Big Show and pick him up as if he was light as a feather & body slams him w/ the up most ease. Then goes back into the corner and mocks my poses. THEY GOT ME GOOD!

As the crowd reacted, all I could do was just stand there & sell the fact that I just got one of the best ribs that has ever happened to me. Lol. The whole crowd got a kick of it as I proceeded to stand there in complete disbelieve! Like I said, they got me good. I could hear the chuckles from both in the ring. We laughed about that for at least an hour after the show. It was one of my most memorable memories in the WWE ring & I never saw it coming!

Vick transferred to Leavenworth

Michael Vick left Virginia on Monday to enter a drug treatment program at a Kansas prison, a move that could reduce the former NFL star's 23-month sentence on a federal dogfighting conviction.

The suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback is now at the U.S. Bureau of Prisons minimum security facility in Leavenworth, his attorney, Billy Martin, said.

"Mr. Vick hopes to participate in programs offered at that facility, including the Bureau of Prisons drug treatment program," Martin said in a statement...More?

Clemens: steroid, HGH injections 'never happened'

Roger Clemens said during an interview with 60 Minutes on Sunday that he was never injected with illegal performance-enhancing drugs by his former trainer and doesn't know what he can do to prove his innocence.

"Never happened," Clemens told CBS correspondent Mike Wallace. "And if I have these needles and these steroids and all these drugs, what, where did I get them? Where is the person out there (who) gave them to me? Please, please come forward."..More?
