A group of women in their 20s sits on the floor in an Allston Pilates studio, simultaneously stretching and poring over notebooks, like some sort of sorority study group.
Then they begin cursing like truckers. And then they start throwing each other around.
“Does anybody remember the neck-breaker?” someone asked.
This is the Boston League of Women Wrestlers, a group of tattooed, foul-mouthed women who get out of their day jobs and come together for some grappling and camaraderie. It’s not Olympic-style Greco Roman wrestling, but the character-driven, made for entertainment, thrown through tables brand of wrestling that resembles World Wresting Entertainment...More?

UFC Sues Randy Couture for Breach of Contract

The strained relationship between the Ultimate Fighting Championship and its heavyweight champion Randy Couture has taken another bad turn -- directly into a Las Vegas courtroom.
Lawyers for Zuffa, LLC, the UFC's parent company, on Monday filed suit in Clark County District Court, alleging chiefly that Couture's comments about the UFC and its senior management caused the business irreparable damage and that he is in breach of the contract he signed with the company in December 2006...More?
Batista Pulled Over by Fake Cop
From the Beacon Journal Newspaper:
Following a show in Canton on Jan. 5, WWE professional wrestler David Bautista had an encounter of a different kind. Bautista told investigators that he was stopped on Interstate 77 by a man using a red flashing light on his vehicle and claiming to be an undercover officer.
Stark County sheriff's deputies were dispatched after Bautista phoned them to report that he had driven away from the ''officer'' after stopping north of 38th Street Northwest and being asked for his driver's license. He told investigators he became suspicious because the man didn't have the usual police equipment, including a badge, the man's vehicle didn't look like a cruiser and the man was wearing camouflage pants.
Deputies, who talked with Bautista near the Everhard Road off ramp, said the suspect wasn't found.

Can Jeff stay on top of the WWE?
While he’s not new to the promotion, the man to lead the revolution could be Jeff Hardy.
Since returning to the WWE from TNA — and surviving a run-in with the Wellness Policy — Hardy’s impressive performances culminated in a win over Triple H at Armageddon to become the No1 contender.
But is the Rainbow Haired Warrior just the traditional weak Royal Rumble challenger with no chance to win, or is he here to stay?...More?
