Paul Heyman on Stephanie

From an interview Paul Heyman did with 'The Sun':

Regarding reports that he had beef with Stephanie McMahon: They weren't rumours, Stephanie and I clashed heavily through most of my tenure in WWE. And I don't think it should be a surprise that we did. I came into WWE just as Stephanie was taking over the writing team. Stephanie is a lot like her father. Even those closest to her would refer to her as The Vincess. And they said it in a manner that cannot be mistaken — they mean it as the ultimate compliment.

Jim Ross on Triple H

From JR's blog:

Props go out to HHH for joining the WWE tour in progress after his family’s tragic loss, when he could have easily opted out of the trip and simply came to Las Vegas for No Way Out. Yours truly will undoubtedly be accused of kissing ass here, but the simple fact is that from my experience over the years managing the WWE talent roster, that many superstars would have opted out of commitments such as a lengthy international tour for far less legitimate reasons than “The Game” had.

Finally, some Hunter praise

From a Q&A on wrestlingnewsworld.com:

Why does everyone hate on Triple H? Given all of his accomplishments and the fact that he seems to be good at the “three phases” that make up a professional wrestler, hasn’t he earned the respect of his peers?

The wrestling business is a cut throat business. Everyone is out for themselves because everyone knows that there are very few top spots in WWE and they must possess extraordinary talent to get there. The differences in salaries in WWE are very dramatic as a developmental wrestler only makes around $26,000 a year while someone like John Cena makes millions. With that being said no matter how much Triple H has proved that he has good in-ring skills, can talk, and has a great look, people are going to hate on him because he is married to the boss’ daughter. I think it is human nature to be envious of someone that is already by nature a top talent but add the fact that he is in the McMahon family and you have a lot of hatred, sometimes hatred that is unwarranted. This is just part of the business and I guarantee you that Hunter does not let it bother him.

Professor Wrestling: 'No Way Out' Picks

Only one more stop for WWE before "WrestleMania 24," and it's a little pay-per-view called "No Way Out." On this card, two championship matches, two elimination chamber matches and a Ric Flair win-or-quit match. Wooooooooooooooo!...

"RAW" Elimination Chamber Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Shawn Michaels vs Triple H vs. Chris Jericho vs. JBL vs. Umaga
What Should Happen: The winner in this one takes on the WWE Champion at WM24. WWE is pushing Jeff Hardy right now, and I have a hard time disagreeing with that direction. He's earned it, and it seems like the live crowds really like the guy. Unlike the "Smackdown!" Elimination Chamber crew, this is a pretty strong field. Any one of these performers could hold their own in a title match on the biggest stage of the year.

What Will Happen: I like Hardy, but I'm going with Triple H to win this one.

Critics call pro wrestling legislation 'heavy-handed'

One professional wrestler called it "big government at its most evil."

"This legislation is a knee-jerk reaction to the Chris Benoit tragedy," wrestler Mark Henry said at a public hearing Wednesday in Atlanta on a proposed bill that would subject World Wrestling Entertainment to state regulation.

Henry was referring to the former WWE star who killed his wife and 7-year-old son in their Fayetteville home before taking his own life last summer.

"That was one man's struggle against drug abuse and mental illness. It had nothing to do with wrestling," said Henry, one of about 80 members of the state's wrestling community who turned out to object to Senate Bill 413...More?
