World Wrestling Entertainment has found a tag-team partner in 20th Century Fox, inking a first-look deal that gives the studio rights to distrib pics headlined by the company's pro wrestlers.
Beginning next year, WWE Films plans to develop, finance and produce at least one theatrical release and up to four direct-to-video titles annually, with Fox receiving a distribution fee should it release the pics in theaters, on homevid or digitally. It's similar to the pact comicbook giant Marvel Entertainment has with Paramount and Universal on the upcoming "Iron Man" and "The Incredible Hulk."...More?

Last week, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced earnings for its fourth quarter 2007, beating analysts’ estimates by $17.6 million and sending the stock up 10% in intraday trading. Since hitting a 52 week low of $13.35 last year, the stock has vacillated between $14 and $16 a share with no momentum in either direction. With a recession looming and consumer spending slowing, it is interesting to note that the source of WWE’s recent growth was in consumer products and domestic live events. If we are in a period where discretionary spending is being cut, how could WWE have achieved such growth domestically in the last quarter?...More?

Picture puts Clemens at Canseco party
Photos may exist that show Roger Clemens attended a 1998 party at the home of then-teammate Jose Canseco that was an issue at the Feb. 13 hearings before a congressional subcommittee, The New York Daily News reported.

For those of you who haven’t been watching SmackDown lately, the Undertaker is now using a Gogoplata Choke (a legit MMA choke) as his new finisher. The hold, for lack of a better description, is a variation of a triangle choke executed from your back where you wrap your one leg out and around your opponents shoulder and then back under his chin and then pull his head down across your shin with your hands.
