African Americans on WWE
There has been a directive to up the involvement of African Americans on WWE TV. The marketing department has noted a downturn in African American viewing since 2006, and over the last year the company has lost the Boogey Man (injury) Monty Brown, Booker T, Sharmell, Krystal Marshall and Bobby Lashley. Shelton Benjamin, Elijah Burke, Mark Henry, Teddy Long, Kofi Kingston and Big Daddy V remain, although BDV is out and has been directed to lose 50lbs for health reasons. Many feel this is why Cryme Tyme was brought back. There was actually a big fight to get Kofi Kingston on ECW, as the higher ups in creative were negative on him, but due to the directive, he got the spot. Shelton Benjamin was moved to ECW initially because Dusty Rhodes really liked him and he was slotted to win the ECW Title. His push was halted, and Chavo Guerrero got the title. Benjamin was to be part of a trade, with Elijah Burke moving to Raw. Brian Gewirtz never had any ideas for him and Stephanie McMahon eventually just vetoed the trade, and only moved Benjamin.

Chuck Liddell Injured & Out of UFC 85
Chuck Liddell has been removed from the upcoming UFC 85 card due to a badly torn hamstring. He was supposed to be facing Sugar Rashad, in what would've been the biggest fight of Rashads career. Who now is awaiting a new opponent to be named. The irony of this is that Rashad was a penciled in opponent for Liddell. Original Dream Match Opponent, Mauricio Shogun Rua, was also forced to be pulled out of this fight due to a training injury in preparations to face Liddell.
UFC and Starnes Part Ways
Following a performance on Saturday that drew merciless boos from the 21,390 fans inside Montreal's Bell Centre, Surry, B.C., native Kalib Starnes (Pictures) is no longer fighting for the UFC...Starnes said he was told by Joe Silva (UFC matchmaker) it will take a few days for the paperwork to be completed, at which time the fighter will reveal more about his performance against Nathan Quarry -- a back-pedalling, listless effort that saw him lose a lopsided decision by scores of 30-26, 30-27 and 30-24...More?

Jeff Hardy House Fire Update
Investigators in to the well publicized Jeff Hardy house fire have concluded that they are unable to define the cause of the devastating blaze due to the severity of the damage, although Jeff has gone on record saying faulty wiring may be a possibility. Hardy lost everything he owns including his pet dog Jack and is currently residing with Matt during his WWE suspension.

And he had just gotten in the business, and I remember, everyone was saying "Here's this new kid" and he had just come in the business and, I remember watching him, and what I respected about him was, he was such a student of the business. You could tell he wanted to soak up and learn absolutely everything he could. And so for that, you cannot, there's no way, if you really know who Paul Levesque is, and what he's done, the way he has ate, slept, and breathed this business, long before Stephanie, there's no way you can say he needed Stephanie to do anything. He didn't. And I think it's a great disservice to him whenever any fan says that. Yes of course his life is made easier in terms of what he gets to do, I'm sure if he has an idea, it probably flies a lot quicker than, you know, any other Joe Blow, but to say that he hasn't earned the place that he's at in this business, I think is unfair."
Clinton, Obama & McCain to Make Appearances on Raw
The three major-party presidential hopefuls will take their differences into the wrestling ring Monday night, sort of.
Sens. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and John McCain (R-Ariz.) have been hitting the airwaves hard of late, with one or the other appearing on everything from American Idol and music awards shows to late-night talk and comedy shows.
Now, on the eve of the Pennsylvania primary, each will appear on USA Network's WWE Monday Night Raw wrestling show in taped appearances, according to the network...More?
