Kaliqo's Commentary - Recent WWE Scandals

From Jason Powell of prowrestling.net:

"Does anyone else find it odd that a publicly traded company that is marketing to children via on-air programming and the films division currently employs an accused racist, an alleged high-paid escort, and a guy who may or may not have left a shoebox filled with syringes and drugs behind in a house? I'm sure this stuff happens at Disney all the time, though."

Not only do I think it (it being scandals) happens at Disney, I think a lot of large companies have these problems. The difference with the WWE is that they have rabid fans and an internet sub-culture that yearns for insider information. No other publicly traded company or it's employees are followed like the WWE.

'Thor' Movie Rumors Again

An article on hollywood.com mentions that Marvel still wants Hunter to play Thor in their movie slated for 2010:

...The Iron Man sequel will debut on April 30, 2010, with Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard intact, followed by the feature film debut of Thor about 5 weeks later. In the Stan Lee/Larry Lieber comic book version of this character from Nordic mythology, Thor’s alter-ego is a disabled doctor named Donald Blake, and there has been a fair amount of speculation that Marvel wants professional wrestler Triple H or Scottish actor Kevin McKidd, who made an impression in the HBO series Rome, to carry the hammer.

Something strange has been going on since WrestleMania in the WWE. Following WrestleMania, RAW, SmackDown, and ECW have featured wrestlers from all three brands. No angles, no explanations, yet all three brands have continued mixing following the usual WrestleMania blow off. Could the brand extension finally be over?...More?

I was never a fan of the brand extension and would love to see it go.
