Raw House Show Results - Mexico City, Mexico Day 1

The first match was between Super Crazy against Paul Burchill and Katie Lea. Crazy won by pinfall over Paul. Next Trevor Murdoch won by pinfall over a guy who I have never seen and couldn't hear his name, very boring match, nothing to remember.

Then Mickie James defeated Beth Phoenix to retain the WWE women championship, it was a good match, the people love the champion and after the match Phoenix received a strong ovation because of the good fight she gave against James.

Mick Foley was received with one of the best ovations of the day, after that, Kennedy took the microphone of Lillian and in spanish he said "I'm the future of the wrestling: Mr Kennedy" and of course the pop was huge. Kennedy won after a mic check, but Foley had to save him because Cade attacked him from behind, Mick made appear Mr. Socko to send Cade home and receive a lot of claps.

In a triple threat Cody Rhodes and Hardcore Holly retain their belts against Paul London with Brian and Santino Marella with Carlito.

HBK and Y2J fought in a non title match. Both had great receptions, but i think that the one for Shawn Michaels was better. HBK won by pinfall after sweet chin music.

John Cena and Jeff Hardy defeated JBL and Snitsky. At the end, Hardy and Cena took a flag of Mexico and showed it to the fans, it was fantastic, the best pop of the night, they were good enough to say hi to all the people they could on their way back to the locker room.

In the main event Triple H defeated Umaga for the WWE championship with the pedigree.

WWE Divas Mentioned on MSN.com

That's right: Ladies wrestle too, and people love 'em. They're also a popular export. India generates the most searches for the lovely ladies of the WWE. When did women go from the sidelines into the ring? Here's the backstory on this women's movement:

Once upon a time (mid-'80s) there was "GLOW," a pro wrestling TV show co-created by the mother of Sylvester Stallone. Then came the LPWA, which folded in 1993. And now, the WWE Divas are so popular, they recently appeared as muses for the contestants on "Project Runway".

In addition, wwe.com is making available daily mobile wallpapers featuring the Divas. Click here for more information.

More Triple H/Thor Movie Rumors

MARVEL Studios apparently has its eye on Hollywood hunk Brad Pitt for the lead role in its big-screen comicbook movie of hammer-wielding hero Thor.

Last year it was speculated that actor Kevin McKidd and pro-wrestler turned actor Paul Levesque (known in the wrestling world as HHH or Triple H) were being considered for the Thor role...More?

WWE Settles Lawsuit With Memphis Wrestling

The lawsuit between WWE and Memphis wrestling, regarding WWE pulling Jerry Lawler from the big match against Hogan last April (later replaced by Big Show) has been settled out of court.

Memphis promoter Cory Maclin was claiming that WWE had violated section two of the "federal Sherman Anti-Trust Act" as McMahon used his influence with Jerry Lawler to keep him from working for Maclin, due to his feelings toward Hogan at the time.

Reaction from Jim Ross:

So the WWE settles out of court with a wrestling promoter in Memphis over Jerry Lawler not wrestling Hulk in Memphis some time back. This lawsuit, in my opinion, was a joke from the get go and apparently the WWE settled to simply move on. I can’t blame them for that. The promoter most likely made more cash in the legal settlement than he would have if Lawler had wrestled Hogan. The King himself thought the lawsuit was ridiculous.
