Jeff Hardy speaks on the loss of his house

Except from Jeff Hardy's interview on WFJF radio in Washington, DC:

Jeff Hardy commented on losing his home and dog in a fire during an appearance on WFJF radio in Washington, D.C. "Forget about the demons and substances, man, I lost my home," Hardy said. "That was huge, but I'm in a better place now. We're staying with Matt (Hardy). We're gonna rebuild on the same area. We're doing good, man. We're hanging in there. We gotta move on. I lost my dog and everything I had in my house and now I gotta move on."

MCW/Ric Flair deal falls through

From Dan McDevitt:

The Nature Boy Ric Flair was supposed to be booked to appear for pictures and autographs on Saturday July 19th, 2008 in a pre-show autograph signing. We have been in talks with Ric’s agent and WWE for almost 2 months...We had come to terms on an agreement and we had a contract in hand. However, we did not have the signatures from the officials at WWE. That is why I kept putting off making any sort of announcement because we were told not to and given that as the reason for why the NWA appearances were pulled. Basically there was a handful of promotions that were going to be allowed to book Ric in somewhat of a “Farewell To The Fans” type of tour. If you are a fan of Ring of Honor than you have probably read Gabe’s post explaining that they were another group that was approved to have him and they were also given notice that the appearance was being scratched...We were notified on Monday that the WWE had decided to not allow Ric to do anything that was associated with professional wrestling. There was no reason given and I guess they don’t have to have one because they are the WWE...More?

ROH/Ric Flair deal falls through

ROH was close to having Ric Flair as a special guest on the 8/2 Manhattan event. However, the deal is now not possible. If ROH had secured Flair attempts would have been made to get Kenta Kobashi to the event so that Kobashi and Flair would have the opportunity to shake hands in front of the crowd.

The Undertaker & Michael Hayes Return

Last night in Auckland, New Zealand, the Undertaker wrestled his first WWE match since getting banned from the company at One Night Stand. Undertaker teamed up with his brother Kane, as the Brothers of Destruction defeated the Great Khali and Mark Henry. According to WWE storylines, Undertaker is still officially gone from the company, however Vickie Guererro allowed him to travel overseas for his "Farewell Tour".

After serving a lengthy suspension due to some off-color remarks made during WrestleMania weekend, WWE writer Michael Hayes is back to work. According to PWInsider.com, he was at WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling on Monday and Tuesday and will be returning to WWE television at the June 23rd draft.
