Raw Preview - John Cena plays The Game

Last Monday night, Raw will make itself at home in Salt Lake City, as WWE Champion Triple H and John Cena continue to circle one another like junkyard dogs, spoiling for their title match at Night of Champions. Just two weeks ago, Cena defeated Jeff Hardy to become the No. 1 contender. Last week saw Triple H sweep Cena’s legs out from under him after the Chain Gang Commander’s victory over JBL.

Then, in the night’s main event between The Game and Jeff Hardy, Cena interfered, causing Triple H to lose by count-out. With less than two weeks before Night of Champions, will anything keep these two fierce competitors from annihilating one another?

Let's hope they continue the love fest from last week. I think they ran out of ways to compliment each other, but it was hot nonetheless.

Carlito Trash Talks Triple H's Marriage

At a press conference today to promote WWE's 7/2 RAW show in Santiago, Chile, Carlito went off on Triple H and his marriage to Stephanie McMahon.

"I may get in trouble, but that's why I'm here. My opinion is that it was a smart move by [HHH]. I think that's why he's champion now and has been champion in the past, it's easier to him. We, the real wrestlers, don't depend on people in the business. We don't have that benefit. We have to deliver the maximum in the ring. Others are given championships in a plate of gold or platinum, I'm happy for him."

Carlito also said that he had been discriminated against in WWE because he is Latin and took another shot at Triple H for never going overseas to promote shows.

Carlito has been unhappy recently with his role in WWE and not getting a push.

Not going overseas?! Days after his brother-in-law died he was in Japan wrestling for the fans. Depending on people in the business?! I guess being Carlos Colon's son didn't help get his foot in the door. And I won't bore you with a response to the "marrying the bosses daughter" conspiracy theory. That is so played out. I think someone is trying to get fired. Vince will probably keep him around and job him out as punshment.

Jeff Hardy commented on losing his home and dog in a fire during an appearance on WFJF radio in Washington, D.C. "Forget about the demons and substances, man, I lost my home," Hardy said. MCW/Ric Flair deal falls through

From Dan McDevitt:

The Nature Boy Ric Flair was supposed to be booked to appear for pictures and autographs on Saturday July 19th, 2008 in a pre-show autograph signing. We have been in talks with Ric’s agent and WWE for almost 2 months...We had come to terms on an agreement and we had a contract in hand. However, we did not have the signatures from the officials at WWE. That is why I kept putting off making any sort of announcement because we were told not to and given that as the reason for why the NWA appearances were pulled. Basically there was a handful of promotions that were going to be allowed to book Ric in somewhat of a “Farewell To The Fans” type of tour. If you are a fan of Ring of Honor than you have probably read Gabe’s post explaining that they were another group that was approved to have him and they were also given notice that the appearance was being scratched...We were notified on Monday that the WWE had decided to not allow Ric to do anything that was associated with professional wrestling. There was no reason given and I guess they don’t have to have one because they are the WWE...More?
