Triple H v. Chavo Guerrero SmackDown-7/11/08

The live crowd was really into Triple H. Huge pop before and after the match. They've been more lively than J.R. made them out to be in his blog. It's amazing how much fresher he is thanks to the change of scenery. I think a big part of it is that he's not being overexposed on the mic. He took part in the VIP Lounge segment last week, but even then his comments were short and to the point. In other words, he's not being asked to cut the type of long, draining promos that became a turnoff on Raw. Don't get me wrong, Hunter is good on the mic, but sometimes less is more. - Jason Powell

WWE's Most Overrated Wrestlers

There is an article on the Bleacher Report listing the the WWE's most overrated wrestlers and gives reasons why:

Matt Hardy - He's basically done nothing but ride the coat tails of his younger brother Jeff. While they were known as "Team Xtreme," Jeff was really the only one to do the amazingly off the wall type things that would draw people's attention to this dynamic duo

C.M. Punk - Now if you guys think John(Cena) is incredibly short on his move list, you have to watch this guy in action. He really has about six attack moves. He hits you from the top rope, throws you to the turnbuckle, knees you in the face, bulldogs you, maybe even gives you a couple of kicks, then finishes you.

Umaga - Yes he's large, but no one is so big that he can take full on assaults by HHH or Batista and continue to stand as if he were hit by nothing.

Paul Burchill - The stupid curb-stomp move that he picked up does nothing more than piss me off every time I watch him do it. When he would blindside Mr. Kennedy it was nothing more than aggravating.

Mark Henry - This guy has simply ruined an already horrible ECW by becoming their champ. Yes, I can see why he won, because it needed the championship back, but they should have chosen someone else to do it.

Hornswoggle - And his ridiculous finisher...? What a disgrace to the Frog Splash that many greats such as RVD and Eddie Guerrero have used.

Sad to say I agree with the Matt Hardy assessment. As for CM Punk, he is an Edge knock-off and since Edge does his job just fine, Punk isn't needed and definitely shouldn't hold the World Heavyweight Championship title. Umaga? well he serves a purpose I guess. I don't have a problem with him. Paul Burchill? I don't pay enough attention to him to be able to speak about him although I think Katie Lea is sexy. That brings us to Mark Henry. Why is he wrestling? He can't move. He can't cut a decent promo. The only good thing is that he is now on ECW and I rarely watch that. Hornswogggle is there for comedic relief only and I hope he is ok with that.
