John Cena getting the star treatment in NYC
WWE champ John Cena was treated like a rock star the other night at Wildwood Barbeque on Park Avenue South. When the enormous wrestler walked in, he was "mobbed" by fans pleading for autographs, body slams and kisses. "When he was sitting at his table, a group of thirty-something hot women begged him for a photo," said our spy. "One wanted a sip of his beer, he said no, but sent over a round of Coors Light to the ladies and then lifted his shirt up and showed them his abs. They were screaming, and by the end of the night, he was sending beer to every table in the house. It was a madhouse. It was like Will Smith walked in."

Randy Orton is hoping for "more violence" in games
Randy Orton was recently in London promoting THQ's upcoming SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 release when he revealed to the crowd that games should be more violent than they currently are, even comparing them to cinematic classic Goodfellas.
"Violence sells. I want to see more violence in games - the more blood the better," he said.
Orton criticized parents who try to limit mature content in games, but "don't know their kids are watching South Park."...More?

Batista not happy with the build-up to his match with John Cena
"It's one of those things where, personally I like the long, drawn-out storylines," he said echoing similar comments made back in June to SLAM! Wrestling. "The buildups to big matches where Triple H and I are the perfect example. We had such a buildup for our match. Cena and I being in such a marquee match, I really wish the buildup had been allowed. I think a match like that deserves the fan's emotional investment. It's way too soon. It's just an attraction match and I think it's more valuable than that, I think it's been wasted a little bit. It will still be a hell of a match, I just wish some more emotional investment put into the match. Right now, I feel it's more of an attraction, something that's new and fresh."...More?

Stephanie Levesque and the WWE being sued by CT Nutcase...Again
It seems our favorite Diva is being sued by a wacko in New Britain, CT. This woman, Cecelia Lebby, (75 Martin Luther King Dr., Apt 112 New Britain, CT 06053) has sued Stephanie Levesque (twice), the WWE (twice), Wal-Mart, the Bret Michaels Fan Club, the New Britain Board of Education, the City of New Britain, the New Britain Police Dept., and various other government agencies in New Britain, Torrington, and Farmington Connecticut. Click here to view the docket of approximately 30 cases Lebby has filed.
A Motion for Injunction was filed by Lebby on July 31st and the disposition was entered the same day. It was a Judgment Without Trial. The disposition of the first case that Lebby filed in January 2007 is listed as Judgment of Nonsuit. It seems that Ms. Lebby is off her rocker and trying to make a quick buck.

WWE & TNA competing shows - TNA show cancelled?
TNA has a bulletin up on their site stating that their September 6th show in Manhattan is still on and has not been cancelled. Ticketmaster.com is listing the show as cancelled as of 4:26pm est. TNA says that it is an error by Ticketmaster and they "are currently working with Ticketmaster officials to correct this issue". Interestingly enough, the WWE is running a Raw/SmackDown/ECW Supershow in Jamestown, NY on the same day. Tickets are still available.
