Eastern Wrestling Alliance has announced that two of their originals have cracked this years Pro Wrestling Illustrated 500. Ryan McBride (#472) and Teddy Stigma (#482) continue to shine bright on the east coast and are perfect examples of why EWA is the evolution of Maryland wrestling.

Rumor Mill - Randy Orton's Accident
Many fans are speculating that the "Orton Accident" is a work and have written into wrestlezone.com with their opinions, which can be read here and here. My problem with this story is the distance Orton claims to have been thrown. I have been riding motorcycles for 15+ years and I don't see how he could have been thrown/rolled/bounced 300 feet when he was only going 30 mph. In addition, if you are trying to come back from an injury, why would you ride a motorcycle that you don't have much experience with? I guess anything is possible...

The mask is out of the WWE bag
After weeks of speculation, Kane finally revealed what was in his bag. New WWE RAW General Manager Mike Adamle ordered Kane to hand over the bag. Kane said the bag contained the mask of a man who has been tortured and disfigured beyond recognition. Who is that formally masked man?
The mask in the bag belonged to Rey Mysterio. The whole angle came out of left field...More?

This "unveiling" was a disappointment. I hope this isn't leading up to a Kane/Mysterio feud. I'm not a big Mysterio fan and I think they could use Kane better. Maybe putting him back with the Undertaker as The Brothers of Destruction or a feud with one of the younger guys.

George Thorogood at Raw
“Rock shows and WWE events have similar atmospheres,” recalled Thorogood, an avid WWE fan for several years, who has attended several shows throughout his musical career. “I picked up a lot of show business tips by attending wrestling events, for instance, how to work a crowd. John Cena getting the star treatment in NYC
WWE champ John Cena was treated like a rock star the other night at Wildwood Barbeque on Park Avenue South. When the enormous wrestler walked in, he was "mobbed" by fans pleading for autographs, body slams and kisses. "When he was sitting at his table, a group of thirty-something hot women begged him for a photo," said our spy. "One wanted a sip of his beer, he said no, but sent over a round of Coors Light to the ladies and then lifted his shirt up and showed them his abs. They were screaming, and by the end of the night, he was sending beer to every table in the house. It was a madhouse. It was like Will Smith walked in."

Randy Orton is hoping for "more violence" in games
Randy Orton was recently in London promoting THQ's upcoming SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 release when he revealed to the crowd that games should be more violent than they currently are, even comparing them to cinematic classic Goodfellas.
"Violence sells. I want to see more violence in games - the more blood the better," he said.
Orton criticized parents who try to limit mature content in games, but "don't know their kids are watching South Park."...More?
