Kaliqo's SummerSlam Predictions, Pick's & Speculations
Undertaker vs. Edge in a Hell in the Cell Match
Not much I can say about this one. This is definitely one to record. Edge is so over as a heel, I would like to see him win this one. If he does, I'm sure he will have some help.
John Cena vs. Batista
Face versus face? Now would be a good time to turn Cena heel, although I don't think that will ever happen. Have to support the local talent, so I'm going to go with Batista.
JBL vs. CM Punk for the WWE world heavyweight title
Don't like JBL. Don't like CM Punk. Don't care who wins.
Triple H vs. the Great Kahli for the WWE title
Like I said in a previous post, Hunter is going to have to work his ass off to make this match look good. I think Hunter should drop the title to Khali because it is inconceivable that he could beat him, unless a sledgehammer is involved. Rematch at Unforgiven.
MVP vs. Jeff Hardy
This should be another really good match. I would like to see MVP go over Jeff just to get him more over as a heel.
Mark Henry vs. Matt Hardy
ECW. Why? What is the purpose of keeping this around? Mark Henry can't move so Matt will have to do all the work. I really don't care, but I do like the new belt.
Kofi Kingston & Mickie James (c's) vs. Santino Marella & Beth Phoenix
Normally I would go with the local talent which in this case would be Mickie James, but I love Santino and Beth Phoenix. I'm really hoping they win.
Shawn Michaels' Announcement
I would love to see Chris Jericho interfere with this and Hunter run in for the save. That could set-up Jericho to interfere in Hunter's match with Khali costing him the match. Jericho and Hunter could then "appear" on each other's shows which would allow Hunter to be on Raw even though he was drafted to SmackDown. As far as Shawn's announcement goes, I don't expect him to go anywhere.

whoissuicide.com message on Impact
If you watched this week's Impact, during the Taylor Wilde/Christy Hemme match you might have seen something flash across the screen for about half a second that read "whoissuicide.com". If you blinked then you probably missed it.
Not sure if it's a new character or if it has to do with the promotion of the new TNA Impact video game. If you visit whoissuicide.com there is a graphic that takes you to http://www.myspace.com/whoissuicide.

The speculation is that this is promotion for the new TNA Impact video game and "Suicide" is a character in the game. The rumor is that Kaz will be returning to TNA as Suicide.

Mark Henry comments on the "Michael Hayes" Incident
"Well, people that want to get into the negative aspect of what’s going on in any industry—that’s trying to sell newspapers, that’s trying to sell spots," Henry said in an interview with the Orlando Sentinel.
"Michael made a mistake, he paid for his mistake," continued Henry. "He has been forgiven. I can’t go into all of that again because I’ve moved on myself but let’s just say that we’re all human beings and we need to treat people as such."...More?.

Eric Bischoff slams Dave Metzler & Missy Hyatt
Eric speaking on the tabloid media as it relates to the wrestling industry:
The wanna-be TMZ's of the world lower the bar even further to get attention and people that can’t find enough negativity to fill the black hole in their own lives, continue to seek out even lower forms of Internet life. Those people need only to become wrestling fans.
Once they do, they can seek out Internet sites like Dave Meltzer's that features commentary from a middle aged, overweight, silicon-laden troll whose only real talent was converting her willingness to being passed around by wrestlers as a party favor into a paycheck more than a decade ago. Or worse yet, that headlines bogus "divorce stories" as breaking news only because they didn't bother to do a basic public records check beforehand. They can then subscribe to his 345,000+ word weekly assault on grammar that attempts to be the arbiter of an industry he’s never been directly involved with for "inside information".
Kudos to Eric for the Metzler bashing.
Killer Kowalski Update
1Wrestling.com. is reporting the "Killer" Kowalski remains in serious condition after suffering a severe heart attack last Friday. He was not expected to survive through the evening. Kowalski was briefly non-responsive, but by Saturday he was responsive to those around him. Kowalski was briefly taken off life support on Saturday, and his heart kept beating on its own. However, he went back on life support by Sunday evening and at last word is in a coma state.
30-second time-out - CM Punk
Gotham City has Batman, Metropolis has Superman and in Chicago, we have CM Punk (a.k.a. Phil Brooks). Like those other guys, the 6’3”, 225-pound Chicagoan has an affinity for knee-high boots, spandex pants and secret identities. And he’s also the reigning WWE heavyweight champion, having bested the Edge in June. Each week on WWE Monday Night Raw the straight-edge (drug- and alcohol-free) superstar thrills fans with his high-flying maneuvers, only to return to his Wicker Park condo in a cloak of anonymity. He rides the El, gets insulted at the Weiner’s Circle and waits two hours for a seat at Kuma’s Corner just like the rest of us...More?

Thunderbolt Patterson still 'on top'
In 44 years of wrestling, Thunderbolt Patterson has seen his share of peaks and valleys. But right now, he's on top of the mountain.
...His career really took off in the 1970s in several Southern promotions when he invented the shuckin' and jivin' style of speaking and wrestling that's long since been expropriated by Dusty Rhodes and Brian "Road Dogg" James, among others. A feud with Jose Lothario, a good friend, landed him the Brass Knuckles title in 1970 in Florida, where he won the state championship six years later from Frank Goodish, aka Bruiser Brody. Kenneth Noble of The New York Times dubbed him "a folk hero to many working-class sports fans, a black gladiator."...More?

Gerry Brisco and Thunderbolt Patterson faced Ole and Gene Anderson in the first main event at the Scope in Norfolk, VA in the early 70's.

Carlito is still crying
Carlito's long-term future with WWE appears to be in doubt again. While he's worked a few live events, he still has yet to debut on television on SmackDown since the draft seven weeks ago. Once again, he has talked with friends about a release from the company...More?

Eric Bischoff comments on the WWE/Raven lawsuit
"WWE is now a publicly traded company. It is responsible to its shareholders, and therefore must react to market conditions and influences much differently than when it was a privately held company. While the Chairman can stack the deck with a Board of Directors and executive management team that looks more like a friends and family reunion than anything else, should the IRS determine that WWE’s contracted talent are employees and not independent contractors, there is the potential for significant fines, expenses and cost of doing business on a go-forward basis that could have a serious negative impact on WWE stock."
"On one hand, every talent that performed with WWE knew exactly what they were getting into when they signed on. Its not as if there was some master plan that was designed to take advantage of them. My guess is that they are in a desperate financial situation and found some equally desperate lawyer to take a run at this issue in the hopes of collecting a payday."
"But on the other, Vince McMahon’s mandate for absolute control of everything from, finishes, the words that he puts in the mouths of his announcers and performers, to dress codes for talent flying to and from an event may come back to haunt him."...More?
