JBL a Good Guy?

A few weeks ago, WWE's former developmental promotion, Ohio Valley Wrestling, lost their television deal on the CW affiliate in their home base of Louisville, Kentucky because they were unable to pay the $2,000 per week fee for the Saturday night time slot. Fortunately for them, the company regained their time slot and are back on the air — all thanks to the generosity of WWE star John Bradshaw Layfield.

When JBL was at an autograph signing at OVW, the crew told him about the money problems and JBL said he would do everything he could to help. Ohio Valley Wrestling now has a new sponsor in Layfield Energy, JBL's dietary supplement.

Another WWE Release

Laurel, MD's own Kaleb O'Neal (Patrick Brink) was released from WWE developmental.

According to The Sun, in December he got heat because he added some tattoos on his forearms which when under WWE contract you need their permission to do. He was fined $1,000 and suspended for one week. Because he was only making $500 per week, after the fine he started struggling financially. He told the office about his money problems and was given a pay rise to $750. This past week he was late to an appointment for physical therapy that WWE was also paying for and when word got back to the office they basically told him his recent behaviour was unacceptable and they were letting him go.

Patrick explains why he was let go.

Triple H vs. Umaga 03/06

So, Apparently Shane McMahon is Tougher than Triple H

On the last episode of SmackDown, Triple H was ambushed by Legacy. He fought for about seven minutes until he was defeated and destroyed. Legacy has attacked many wrestlers, but only one person has survived the attack and defeated all three members. Seriously? What happened? Did Shane O'Mac turn into Superman?...More?

Sonjay Dutt says All Wrestlers Want to Work for the WWE; Speaks on TNA Departure

Washington, DC's own, Sonjay Dutt was on the Desi Live radio show on WorldBand Media Thursday and spoke about his departure from TNA and rumors he’s going to the WWE:

On leaving TNA:

DJ JoN-E (Johney Brar): What happened at the end, why did you leave?

Sonjay: Basically my contract was coming up at the end of March, we negotiated for a renewal contract which took about 2 or 3 weeks with my agent going back and forth with the company and we agreed to a contract that was fine, we agreed that I would sign the contract…so I was looking forward to another 3 years with the company and the company was looking forward to another 3 years with me. That was on a Thursday, they told me I would sign on Monday. That next day Friday afternoon I got a call and they said some restructuring was going on with the company and they weren’t going to be able to renew my contract.

Going to WWE?:

DJ JoN-E (Johney Brar): You mentioned WWE and I read reports online like many people and some say they’re interested and looking towards and you’re saying you’re interested in working towards them. Has there been any contact between you two?

Sonjay: You know I read the same thing online and I don’t know where that came from but for my sake I hope it’s true. (laughs) But no contact has been made yet. Technically I’m still under contract with TNA so once things end hopefully they give me a call or whatnot."

Dutt goes on to say that all wrestlers want to work for the WWE:

"Any professional wrestler - ask everybody in TNA no matter where you are - they're going to want to be in WWE. That's the top; that's the best. Every professional wrestler deep down in their heart wants to be in WWE."

Dutt said the top stars, like Sting, probably don't have a desire to be in WWE because TNA offers a better schedule. "WWE's schedule is so insane and hectic, so for a guy like Sting who has put his time into the business, he doesn't need to be on the road," Dutt said. "TNA is a good option. It has a light schedule to make the kind of money they want to make."

Rumor Mill - Vince on a Mission to Stop the Leaks

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon is said to still be on a quest to stop the leaks to Internet news sources. The initiative, which began shortly after Survivor Series when news of Christian being Jeff Hardy's assailant, has only intensified in recent weeks and months.

In January Vince absolutely went nuts when word of Matt Hardy's turn on Jeff leaked out just hours before the pay per view.

Then the paranoia set in at last month's pay per view where Vince went so far as to drape a huge tarp over the Elimination Chamber during pre-show warm ups so as to not tip off the angle involving Edge entering both Chamber matches. McMahon has reportedly informed is his immediate subordinates that they are to spread the word to stop the leaks. He has said for them to make that point very clear.

Rumor Mill - Leaked WWE Script

According to a RAW script that was leaked from the March 2nd broadcast, there was a planned segment with JBL announcing his WrestleMania plans. JBL was going to challenge CM Punk for the Intercontinental Title. The match was going to end in disqualification with JBL picking up the win. The segment was scripted to happen after Shawn Michaels' backstage segment and before the Randy Orton in-ring segment. According to the script, the match was produced by Mike Rotunda.

WWE cut the entire segment out of RAW this week possibly due totime constraints. Neither Punk or JBL appeared on RAW this week and it is not known if they will continue the angle on this coming Monday night.

WWE Studios would be co-producers and help finance the film, which is being planned as a direct-to-DVD feature. There are no WWE talents yet attached to the film, which is currently in the script developmental stage.
