Rumor Mill - Rey Mysterio Injured?

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer/Figure Four Online, Rey Mysterio may have suffered an injury to his left leg after botching an attempted 619 during last night's WWE Raw/ECW house show in Lubbock, TX. Reports from the show are stating that Mysterio slipped on the ropes going for the 619. They then went for the finish right away with Shawn Michaels (Mysterio's tag team partner) hitting two superkicks and finishing the match. Michaels then went immediately to the outside as medical staff checked on Mysterio for around 10 minutes. He was helped out and was limping on the way out. It remains to be seen how serious the injury was.

Rumor Mill - SmackDown Creative Problems

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Michael Hayes is reportedly taking some heat for the changes he made to the Royal Rumble PPV back in January just a few days before the show which is said to have changed booking for the worst. It is also believed that Hayes has heat for failing to keep Freddie Prinze Jr. on the creative staff as Prinze Jr. worked under Hayes during his stint with the company. The McMahon's felt Prinze Jr. had a lot of long-term upside in helping them creatively and politically in Hollywood. It should be noted that Vince McMahon has been vocal recently about wanting the Raw brand beefed up even more in the upcoming Draft following WrestleMania 25, meaning things on the SmackDown side could be drastically downgraded considering the state of MyNetworkTV. One source described SmackDown as possibly becoming a brand that develops new stars whereas the Raw brand will remain the main focus of the company on TV.

J.R. Remembers Andrew "Test" Martin; Notes that He Completed WWE Funded Rehab

Late last summer, reacting on the suggestion of others, WWE reached out to Andrew to ask if he needed some help handling some alleged personal issues that he was rumored to have been experiencing. Andrew had been gone from WWE for over two years but had remained friends with many still associated with WWE. The rumors of Andrew's issues were true and he was afforded the opportunity by WWE to attend The Hanley Center Rehabilitation facility in West Palm Beach, Florida for several weeks beginning in August of 2008. Andrew successfully completed the WWE funded program and was highly regarded by the Hanley Center with being such an asset to them after completing the program of which Andrew took seriously, according to the facility. Since being released from the facility after successfully completing the program, Andrew had been doing well in his 12 Step AA program and was in contact with WWE with regular phone calls. Ironically, Friday was the day for his regularly scheduled "touching base" but when called his voice mail box was full...More?

WWE's 20 Greatest Unsung Heroes

#19 Stephanie McMahon
Stephanie McMahon could easily be number one on the list. As the Vice President of Creative Development she deserves some credit for everyone else on the list. But she's also great on screen. Not only did she prove as the Million Dollar Princess that she can beat most of the Divas at their own game but she can add gravitas to any storyline. She's believable and in wrestling that can be hard to come by.
