The WWE's Year Round Format Risks Less Suspense

The WWE has no off season. The episode of WWE RAW the night after WrestleMania is one of the highest rated and most talked about of the year, with cliffhangers from the night before already needing to reach partial resolution or further complication. But it’s not possible to do a two hour show without addressing most of the major questions fans want answers to.

Rather than being able to let a great cliffhanger really eat at fans and drive their excitement through the roof for a big time return, the WWE has, at best, a week to leave fans with absolutely no idea what’s going to happen. Sometimes the moment of discovery would be sweeter if fans had been waiting longer for it...More?

Ribs Gone Bad

April Fools' Day has come and gone, but in the world of professional wrestling, it doesn’t need to be April 1st to pull a practical joke. Ribbing has been part of wrestling since its inception. Whether from boredom on the road or just being a joker in nature, it seems like everyone has a rib story -- or 20.

That isn’t to say that ribbing is always popular. Ric Flair, for one, isn’t a fan.

"I am not a ribber. Never have done that. I didn't like guys who ribbed people. I think usually you only rib people when you can bully them...More?

Raw Results: The Animal Returns

In the night’s main event, Randy Orton attempted to prove his point about Mr. McMahon’s in-ring abilities. In the midst of putting a hurting on the WWE Chairman, he was interrupted by McMahon’s son, Shane, who attacked The Legend Killer. But Orton had help of his own waiting in the wings in the form of Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, who rushed to their leader’s aide, teaming up on Shane O’Mac. WWE Champion Triple H then emerged, but he too fell victim to the combined might of The Legacy.
