Kevin Eck of the Baltimore Sun conducted an interview recently with Maryland Championship Wrestling star and former WWE developmental talent Patrick Brink.
Brink, an Atholton graduate who grew up in Laurel, made a surprise run-in at last month’s MCW show four months after being released from his WWE deal. Brink, 28, made his return to the ring against Cobian (wth Van Hammer as special guest referee) at a MCW event at The New Green Room in Dundalk.
In the following interview, Brink, who wrestled as Kaleb O’Neal during his six-month stay in WWE’s Florida Championship Wrestling territory, discusses WWE’s developmental program, the circumstances that led to his release, his return to MCW and what the future holds for him. Click here.

Recap of Triple H on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"
At the top of the show, Fallon was talking about how several years ago when him and the writing staff were developing the show, he tossed out the idea of using a trap door they had on the set in the audience to raise a guest out of - complete with smoke - in "dramatic fashion." Jimmy went on to suggest that someone like Triple H would be ideal for the concept. He then went on to say that at the time it was just an idea, but who knew that several years later they would actually have Triple H on the show as a guest. He noted that there wouldn't be any smoke though. Or maybe there would.
Following Fallon's first guest, actor Ashton Kutcher, Jimmy announced Triple H and sure enough, complete with smoke effects, The Game emerged from a trap door in the audience and made his entrance while The Roots played "King of Kings" by Motorhead.
The segment began with Fallon and Kutcher both talking about how they are huge WWE fans and it really did seem like Fallon was genuine in his knowledge and enjoyment of the Triple H character. Fallon then asked Triple H who he was wrestling at SummerSlam and HHH said he was teaming with Shawn Michaels to face Legacy. Fallon wanted to know if Triple H was going to post a "Tweet" after the match to which Triple H responded by saying he was not on Twitter and had no idea what a Tweet was; or a Twat. Kutcher and HHH then went back and forth making Twat jokes and each was censored as Fallon nervously laughed.
Fallon then brought up the new Smackdown vs Raw 2010 video game and Triple H said he had some footage of the game featuring a downloadable Jimmy Fallon character. They then ran some funny footage of a Triple H vs Jimmy Fallon match which The Game dominated. The segment ended with Fallon thanking Triple H and plugging both SummerSlam and the network premiere of Wrestlemania 25 on NBC.

ECW Results: A Regal No. 1 Contender
After Washington announced Regal is the No. 1 Contender to the ECW Championship, The British Brawler faced off against Tommy Dreamer. Still ailing from the brutal Extreme Rules ECW Title Match he competed in the week before, Dreamer fell to the ruthless Regal, who focused on the ECW Original’s wounded left arm. Even after his win, Regal continued his attack with the Regal Stretch on Dreamer, until ECW Champion Christian emerged to chase Regal from the ring and help his friend, Dreamer. Full results.

Kevin Nash Speaks Out
Recalling a conversation with Triple-H and Shawn Michaels a few years ago:
“We were kind of going through the rosters and saying who are the guys who are going to replace us. Which guys are going to replace us when we retire? And everybody through names around and there weren’t a whole lot of names of guys who we thought were going to replace us. You look at a guy like Edge, and now he’s starting to realize – and, gosh, I don’t even know how old he is but he I think he’s in his 30’s. And he’s getting to the point where he’s had a ton of injuries. John Cena has had a ton of injuries. With these guys, it’s almost [a question of] who can last.”
On hardcore wrestling:
“Mick Foley being thrown off a cage to a table 40-feet below him was the worst thing that probably ever could happen in our sport. Because what we do is we go out and we put on a performance, and you should never, ever hit each other. That’s not the art of what we do. When you light yourself on fire and jump 40 feet, that’s a stunt. That’s not a work. To me, ECW was pornography.”...More?

Strikeforce's 'Cyborg' Ready to Knock Carano Out
MMA history will be made Saturday when Gina Carano fights Cris "Cyborg" Santos in an historic main event in San Jose, Calif. They'll be the first women to headline a major MMA card. Also, the fight for Strikeforce's 145-pound title will be five five-minute rounds, which normally doesn't happen for women's bouts.
While Carano is getting lots of attention for her looks, Santos has been seemingly lost in the fold. After losing her first fight, Santos has won her past seven (five by TKO).
FOXSports.com's Steve Bien-Aime recently spoke with Santos (through her translator) to get her views on the coverage of the fight and what Saturday's bout (on Showtime) means to her.
FOXSports.com: What does Saturday's fight mean for women's MMA?
Santos: It's very important because it's not only me, but Gina, the first women's main event. This will open doors for girls in MMA, so it's very important...More?
Q&A with Montel Vontavious Porter
So what's the deal with you and Sherri? Is this relationship serious?
It amazes me how everybody can jump to a wedding. We were on the red carpet and a number of people were asking, "When is the wedding?" Sherri and I are exceptionally good friends and, as a matter of fact, the BET Awards was our third public outing, and people are already talking about a wedding and a marriage. There was one reporter who Sherri expressed her opinion to who then asked me, "Is she like this at home?" She's a wonderful person, and I'm very fortunate to have met her. We're very good friends....More?
