WWE Superstars Results: Point of No Return

Since coming to ECW as a part of Teddy Long’s New Talent Initiative, the massive Irishman known as Sheamus has proven himself to be one of the most impressive young Superstars in WWE. The Dublin destroyer further added to his growing reputation by disposing of another formidable young talent, Yoshi Tatsu, on “WWE Superstars.” While the Japanese Superstar used his exciting offense to try and fell the giant, the pale titan was simply too much for Tatsu to handle. In the end, the Irish Curse sealed Tatsu’s fate and earned Sheamus another big win. Full results.

Femmes Fatales Debut Hot in Montreal

In a city known for beautiful women, Saturday's NCW Femmes Fatales gala was something altogether different. The gathering of top female wrestlers was a riotous affair, featuring some of the top names in the business and some great matches. At the conclusion, one pundit called it "the best all-women's show ever in Canada."

The line-up included three big-name imports -- TNA's Alyssa Flash, working under her indy name of Cheerleader Melissa, Sara Del Rey, and SHIMMER champion MsChif, along with Ontarioans Cherry Bomb, Misty Haven, and SLAM! Wrestling's infrequent columnist Portia Perez. Rounding out the show were local stars like Kacey Diamond and LuFisto, who is without a doubt the best female wrestler in Quebec for the past 10 years...More?

NY Yankees to Auction WWE Championship Belt to Benefit Charity

The Yankees are hosting an online auction to benefit Camp Sundown, a year-round camp in upstate New York for children suffering from Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP), a rare genetic disease that causes the body to be unable to repair cells damaged by UV light.

The prize? The replica WWE championship belt that's passed around the clubhouse to that night's player of the game. The belt is about as authentic as it gets, a gift from the legendary wrestling Jerry "The King" Lawler. As a bonus, the Yankees have signed the belt...More?

ECW Results: Beast Wars

Earlier in the evening, ECW Champion Christian & Tommy Dreamer spoke with the newest member of the ECW broadcast team, Savannah, and let her know that they were going to destroy Vladimir Kozlov & Ezekiel Jackson in tonight’s main event.

Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for Captain Charisma and the ECW Original. While both Superstars attacked their massive opponents with vigor, they were never truly able to gain an upper hand. In the end, Regal tripped up Dreamer, allowing Jackson to execute his modified uranage slam for the win. Of course, Regal and his ruthless roundtable didn’t stop there. The British Brawler applied a vicious Regal Stretch to the fallen Dreamer and then brutally kicked a defenseless Christian. The last thing the WWE Universe saw as the show faded to black was the bruised and battered ECW Champion sprawled on the arena floor. Full results.

Late 80's Wrestling Photos at Brandt Gallery

From 1985 to 1989, Anastasia Pantsios traveled around the country shooting grappling events like Starrcade in Atlanta, the Great American Bash in Charlotte and the Crockett Cup in New Orleans and Baltimore. “The images, like those of a theater or opera production, froze moments in which stylized gestures provided a conduit for emotions that became real in the process of being acted out,” says Pantsios. “Most fans pretty much knew it was fake, but the best wrestlers made you say to yourself, ‘I know it’s all staged, but boy, that looked real.” Pantsios will show off her wrestling photos as part of this month’s Tremont Art Walk...More?
