Matt Morgan Joins the Sports Legacy Institute

Matt Morgan stated the following on his twitter page:

“I’m now an official member of Chris Nowinski’s Sports Legacy Institute! I have signed on to donate my brain to this very earnest, admirable cause. Concussions is a very serious topic that desperately needs more addressing so I’m proud to be part of something that will def help future wrestlers and other athletes for yrs to come. I've noticed more & more, that wrestlers are starting to see the ramifications that concussions can cause. Its leading to more guys to take more self-preventative measures when in the ring. I know it has for me! I encourage any and all athletes to please look into the Sports Legacy Institute to see how u may be able to help, and most importantly, learn more!”

Stephanie McMahon and the Future of the WWE

Dave Scherer was asked if he thought whenever Vince McMahon passes the torch or passes on, if Stephanie McMahon would be able to carry the company. Here is his response:

This answer may surprise some people but yes, I think she can. Stephanie is a smart woman with a great work ethic. She also has the advantage of not feeling that she needs to be the beginning and end of everything in WWE creative the way that her father does. She seems like the kind of person who would surround herself with good people that understand the business and would utilize their talents, certainly more than her father does. Vince needs everything to run through him. I don't think Stephanie would be as controlling and would delegate more. I think that would help the product. There may be someone working for WWE right now that can churn out great story lines but hasn't gotten the chance because Vince dominates the process. Maybe under Stephanie, that would change. Anything has to be better than what Vince is booking on Raw right now.

"WWE Dinner Impossible" Tonight

Dusty Rhodes Comments on Making New Stars

Dusty Rhodes spoke with Phil Strum of pojoslam.blogspot.com about the need for new stars in the WWE:

"Yeah. I think OVW, before they closed down, I think the last big star, that's going to be an even bigger star that's come out of there, was Cody Rhodes. He came out of OVW. Then shortly after that was when they moved it all down here (FCW)."

"Since then, with Yoshi (Tatsu) and Sheamus and Tyler Reks and the list goes on and on and on. Drew McIntyre and all these kids. Savannah, the girls. It's great to see them and work with them in our studio where we do the promo studio, kind of like the actors studio, and work on conversations."

"So it's really cool, working with them. And then the TV shows and seeing them get there. That's their dream. We really need new blood. WWE needs new blood. I think we've started with Legacy and now you've seen Evan Bourne and you've seen Miz and you've seen (John) Morrison and CM Punk. It's a great thing to see this new rush of talent."
