ECW Results: Change is in the Air
In an historic moment, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon told the WWE Universe about his future plans for ECW on Syfy. In three weeks, ECW will end, but a brand new, innovative, never-before-seen program will premiere in the same Tuesday night timeslot, 10/9 CT, on Syfy. McMahon said it’ll be “the next evolution of WWE; the next evolution of television history.” Full results.

New Name of ECW
According to pwinsider.com, the ECW on SyFy series will go forward as a brand under the name WWE NXT, with NXT standing for "Next Generation."
Apparently the show will be built around an entirely new cast of characters with the idea that WWE fans can see these characters develop and debut only on SyFy. Expect a lot of talents from WWE developmental to be called up. More details on the new WWE show should be made clear tonight.
So happy to be done with ECW. I never liked the original show and since the "new version" already features new talent, it needed to be changed.

Vince McMahon: "We've Been an Exhibition Since Abraham Lincoln Wrestled.”
Vince McMahon explaining what the WWE is:
"The consumer knows who we are The media doesn't understand us very well because we're not sport, and we're not the strictest form of entertainment. You can't put us in a box. We're not Beyonce. We don't we fit anywhere. We're a hybrid. But our audience understands that. We've been an exhibition since Abraham Lincoln wrestled.”
Sports’ New Bizarre Tag Team: Falcons and WrestleMania
How much has sports changed? So much that the once snooty and better-than-everybody-else NFL is now crawling into the same promotional bed with professional wrestling. It’s debatable whether the NFL has dropped down, or the WWE has risen up, or they’ve just met somewhere in the middle — at an ATM...More?
