WWE NXT Results: Rookies on the Rise

After an explosive, post-match brawl on last week’s WWE NXT, R-Truth & his Rookie, David Otunga, put their differences aside to earn a tag team win over The Miz & Daniel Bryan, another Pro & Rookie duo who aren’t exactly the best of friends either. The Miz threatened Bryan with his career before the match, saying he’ll be sure he’s thrown off the show if he’s pinned. But it was the United States and Unified Tag Team Champion The Miz who was pinned by Otunga, who upped his record to 2-1. Full results.

Triple H then came out and the dark match main event of Triple H and John Cena vs Sheamus and Batista was made. Cena and HHH won the match, and a funny thing happened during the bout. Triple H's music hit for about 5 seconds in the middle of the match, and Triple H looked around and mouthed "I'm already here" which drew a good laugh from the audience.

Triple H Stays Neutral

WWE superstar Triple H was swarmed by fans the other afternoon at, of all places, the offices of the Wall Street Journal. He was there to see WSJ. magazine Editor-in-Chief Tina Gaudoin, who's overseeing a feature on the professional league's global expansion. The burning question on the minds of the reporters was Triple H's political preferences, since his mother-in-law is Linda McMahon, who's running for a Senate seat in Connecticut. But the wrestler avoiding taking sides, telling the journos he's "not political."
