Jim Ross: “A Decision Has Been Made”

"I have worked out what we believe to be a win/win, employee agreement with WWE and will remain with the company that I have been with essentially since 1993 when I debuted at Wrestlemania 9. (To celebrate this occasion, as I'm writing this I'm wearing a toga.)"

"Going forward, I will be focusing on a variety of talent relations matters, essentially as a consultant, of which will not require weekly travel. I will be visiting FCW in Tampa on a regular basis to observe the development of the young men and women who, I hope, all want to headline Wrestlemania some day. This area of the company has always been of particular interest to me including when we opened developmental areas years ago in Louisville, Cincinnati, Memphis, and Southern California. Many of the WWE's biggest stars of this generation came from those areas."

"I will not be returning to weekly, WWE TV or their monthly PPV's. However, being involved with other WWE broadcast products is a possibility. A few opportunities have been discussed."...More?

Interview with Austin Creed

Former TNA star Consequences Creed says he accepts his release from the company was simply part of the wrestling business. The star was one of a number of TNA employees who were let go in March, making way for the likes of Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Ken Anderson.

But the star says he is not bitter and is happy being back on the independent circuit, where he wrestles as Austin Creed. Speaking on The One Sided Ring Podcast, Creed says "There's such an influx of guys coming in. It's only a two-hour show and there are only a certain amount of things you can do with two hours. So obviously some of the guys are going to have to move on to other things."

"It's something you have to be ready for going into this, because you're not always going to be in a position to wrestle on TV."...More?

Information on the 2010 Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame

The Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame is considered by some as the only legitimate hall of fame in pro wrestling, because it is the only one where wrestlers must receive votes to be inducted. Currently housing a who’s who list of greats, from Bruno Sammartino and Hulk Hogan, to Andre the Giant and Ric Flair, the Amsterdam attraction will add to its roster June 4 and 5. While tickets for the induction ceremony and reception are sold out, and tickets for the June 5 meet and greet session are limited, wrestling fans will have an opportunity to see this year’s Hall of Fame inductees, as well as other legends, during the annual wrestling show at Amsterdam’s Wilbur H. Lynch Middle School on June 4th.

This year’s inductees include Dusty Rhodes, Wahoo McDaniel, Stan Hansen, Mil Mascaras, Gorilla Monsoon, “Wild” Red Berry, Danny McShain, Edouard Carpentier, Mike and Ben Sharpe and Kay Noble...More?
