John Cena Comments on the Release of Bryan Danielson

John Cena posted the following on his twitter account:

I am very upset to hear about the release of Bryan Danielson. Social networks were formed so people would have a voice, and an opinon. I know you all have your own, theories and whatnot. I respect that. I have never asked any of you to feel a certain way about me. But Bryan left a lasting impression on the WWE universe in a very short time, and although it came at my expense, I agree with the majority of you who are caught off guard by this choice. I know I'm not exactly appreciated by all, nor do I care to be, but I believe what I believe. I would like Bryan to come back to the WWE. I would like to sign your petition to bring him back. I was taught to stand up for what I believe in. I tried and failed, so I could use some help. Tell me how to sign and I will. If for nothing else, to at least have a chance to have a match with him after what was done I know that seems a bit more fair. Give me a chance to have a fair match with him, and give him yet another chance to prove that he does belong with us. Sorry for the long message, I know I am probaly way out of line, I am sorry if I have offended anyone. But like me or not that is what Hustle. Loyalty. and most importantly Respect means to me. Enjoy game 5.

Now I really believe this is a work.

TNA Trying To Take Another Step Forward

Update on Bryan Danielson's Release from WWE

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer, the word sent out internally within WWE was that the Bryan Danielson (Daniel Bryan) release was legitimate and the announcement of his departure on WWE.com was as legit as any other release from the company would be.

All of the WWE "higher-ups" in the company were reportedly informed he was gone before it was posted on WWE.com. Given the timing, many were finding it hard to believe. However, the idea the company would work its own employees for an angle was another thing taken into consideration over the news. The creative team was also informed on Friday that Danielson was gone.

The people who needed to know were told Danielson was cut for choking ring announcer Justin Roberts with his tie during the "NXT invasion" angle on Monday night. The shot involving Roberts was edited from replays of the show. The only thing that is being discussed right now is that WWE felt choking with a tie was too violent for what is allowed on television right now. From all accounts, Danielson was described as being well liked backstage during his tenure with the company.

I'm still not sure about the validity of this. It just doesn't feel right...as if anything in wrestling feels right.

Ken Shamrock Admits to Steroid Use

UFC Hall of Famer and MMA trailblazer Ken Shamrock admits he used steroids during his career.

The 46-year-old fighter and UFC 1 competitor confirmed the usage while a guest on Friday's new edition of "Fighting Words with Mike Straka" on HDNet.

Shamrock tested positive for multiple steroids after his most recent fight – a February 2009 submission win over the late Ross Clifron – but initially denied usage. At the time and in a subsequent interview with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), his camp blamed the failed drug test on over-the-counter products that may have triggered a false positive.

Shamrock, who didn't explain exactly when the usage took place, told Straka it's easy for MMA fighters to acquire the banned substances. "It's easy and simple," he said...More?

SmackDown Results: Seeing Red

In their first one-on-one encounter ever, Big Show and CM Punk were eager to prove their mettle before they collide for the World Title at Fatal 4-Way. It didn’t take long to see that The World’s Largest Athlete was clearly the more dominate force. But when he attempted to rip the mask off CM Punk, Luke Gallows and the mysterious hooded S.E.S. stranger attacked him, resulting in an immediate disqualification win for Big Show. Punk and Serena followed up with a few cheap shots of their own. As the S.E.S. continued its assault on Big Show, Kane entered the arena to put an exclamation point on his night of carnage by chokeslamming the hooded stranger, Gallows and the 500-pound Big Show! Only Punk and Serena escaped his wrath. Full results.
