The Brawl To End It All - a battle between WWF Women's champion The Fabulous Moolah and Wendi Richter. The event, broadcast live on MTV, marked the beginning of the Rock 'n' Wrestling Connection that would catapult Hulk Hogan into an uncharted stratosphere of fame for a professional wrestler. The woman at the center of the hoopla, the event's most important participant, wasn't even participating in the match. Pop star Cyndi Lauper, a newcomer on the road to winning the next year's Grammy for Best new Artist, was in the corner of the challenger, cheering her on to defeat a champion who had held onto her belt for nearly 30 years.
With Lauper managing Richter and Albano managing the legendary Moolah, the match was high on spectacle but low on real wrestling, especially by today's standards. After pushing Richter into the corner face first, Moolah planted Richter's shoulders to the mat with a reverse sunset flip. Unbeknownst to Moolah, whose shoulders were pinned to the mat, Richter lifted her right shoulder up before the three count. Only when the ring announcer proclaimed that Richter had won the match did people realize that history had been made...More?

WWE Superstars Results: Harts Still Beating
In a rematch from Money in the Bank, the Unified Tag Team Champions locked up with the impressive young duo known as The Usos. Bitter about their defeat on Sunday, Jimmy & Jey were determined to be The Hart Dynasty in their place tonight, but taking out David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd is easier said than done. After a brutal contest that saw involvement from Tamina and Natalya, the Harts were able to connect with the Hart Attack to defeat their rivals once again. Full results.

The Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage Action Figures at SD Comic Con
Today at the San Diego Comic Con, Mattel announced that both the Ultimate Warrior and Randy Savage had been signed by the company to be part of their WWE Action Figures line.
The announcement that Savage would be part of the line got a huge ovation at the event. Of course, the "cold war" (other than last year's DVD release) between Savage and the WWE has gone on for years (for whatever reason), and this would be the first Savage action figure since the early 90's when WWE was working with Hasbro.
Given the demand over the years for Randy Savage action figures, this is a huge score for Mattel and shows how seriously they are taking the WWE line.

Buddy Roberts Recalls the Wild Times as a Freebird and a Hollywood Blond
Buddy Roberts has it more difficult than most to stay in touch with his old friends.
Surgery to combat throat cancer 14 years ago left him with a voice transmitter, and a distinctive, hoarse voice that tires easily. He even went a year and a half without talking.
"Now that I can talk, I don't want to talk. It's really strange. But when I hear my good friends calling, it kicks me in gear, and I say, 'What am I doing?'" Roberts recently told SLAM! Wrestling from his home outside Chicago...More?

Randy Orton on Ken Anderson: "I Hope He Finds Something He's Good At"
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Randy Orton recently made some harsh comments concerning former WWE and current TNA star Ken Anderson. Orton had the following to say:
"He is in denial. He thinks you have to be able to do a moonsault to know how to work. And, as far as dropping me on my head, he did. He never got to see all 4 camera angles of him doing it. I did. Plus, the left side of my neck down to my trap was sore all week in Mexico. I did tell Ken that he shouldn't be dropping me on my head with such a simple basic move. He never said sorry, and even called me a liar after the match. I remember looking at him in disbelief. And yes, I did tell management I did not want to work with him after that. Who wouldn't? That's my side."...More?
