This Day in Wrestling History - Kaufman vs. Lawler
Jerry Lawler and Andy Kaufman were on the Late Night Show with David Letterman. Lawler and Kaufman started yelling at each other. Lawler started pushing Kaufman and Kaufman was cussing him out, which led to Andy Kaufman walking off the set. The incident made headlines everywhere and basically gave huge publicity to the two men. We later found out that it was all a work and that they were friends.

Info on Wilpon Wrestling Group
A promotion headed by Milton Wilpon, a senior member of the Wilpon Family (several of whose members are the majority owners of the New York Mets) is said to be opening offices in September, 2010.
Wilpon, the Fort Lee, New Jersey based investor who has bought into many huge businesses through Sterling Equities (which is reportedly not involved in the wrestling project) has made sure most business has been conducted after people are asked to sign Non-Disclosure Agreements.
However, WrestleZone.com has exclusively learned that the roster is said to include Sean Waltman, Scott Steiner, Shane Douglas, Larry Zbyszko, and Vader.
WrestleZone also confirmed that the startup group is putting together a wrestlers' Board of Directors, and that Sean "X-Pac" Waltman is one of the wrestlers who has been told he will be on the Board...More?
